Mr. and Mrs. P. T. Edmiston and daughter, Ruth, their house guests, the Misses Leona and Katherine Keeler, of Lancaster, Miss Bernice Nevin, all drove to Anaheim Sunday for the day yesterday. Mr. and Mrs. Linnah Thomas, Mrs. O. P. Mitchell and daughter, Ellen and W. A. Kempton were Long Beach visitors yesterday with Mrs. Thomas sister. Mrs. J. H. Swan is in Los Angeles today on business. Miss Ninn Vance and Mort Jones, Doris Lee, Robert Vance, all of Fullerton, spent Sunday at Balboa. Mr. and Mrs. E. P. Fergus were Balboa visitors yesterday being the guests of Santa Ana friends there. Mr. and Mrs. J. S. Rockwell and family and Mr. and Mrs. W. H. Rockwell were Iowa picnic guests at Long Beach Saturday, where they met many former townspeople from Bento county. Mr. and Mrs. W. B. Allen and non-George, and Mrs. Tardy, sister of Mrs. Allen, drove to Huntington Beach yesterday and were greatly interested in the several oil wells which they visited. Mrs. George Baker and daughter, Esther Mae, Mrs. A. P. Smith, and Mrs. Johnson, formerly of Billings, Montana, but now of Los Angeles, were callers yesterday at the Edward Bigelow home. Mr. and Mrs. H. C. Builek and little nephew, Victor Boynton, of Phoenix, Ariz., drove to Long Beach yesterday where they met friends from Los Angeles and enjoyed a picnic dinner together. Miss Louise Denton, of San Diego, who has been the guest of Mrs. W. I. Heinzze and other friends, left for her home yesterday, but will return soon to accept a position in Anaheim junior high school. Rev. G. R. Messias has been called to Venture county to conduct funeral services tomorrow for a former parishoner. He will leave Anaheim early tomorrow morning. Mrs. W. W. Manter and daughters, Holte, Holte, are spending ing of Mr. and Mrs. J. M. McDuell, Miss Irma remained to spend the week with Miss Annamarie McDuell. Mr. and Mrs. W. T. Dugan and family of Glenwood yesterday. Mrs. C. R. ohn and Mrs. Fels are spending the day in Pasadena. Dr. and Mrs. W. M. Mr. Allen met many old time friends and neighbors, also several college friends, he having been a graduate from Iowa State University. Mr. Allen registered in Plymoth and Black Hawk county booths. Mrs. John Taggert and Mrs. William Brown are in Los Angeles today on business. Dr. John Hedley, of U.S.C., who occupied the Methodist White Temple pulpit both morning and evening yesterday, in the absence of Rev. Gelssinger, was the guest of Mr. and Mrs. Paul Taggert. Mr. and Mrs. Edward Bigelow and son, Donald, attended the Iowa picnic at Long Beach Saturday. Mr. and Mrs. R. Jensen left recently for an extended visit to Sequoia National park. From there they go to Lake Tahoe and on to Yosemite. They will be absent more than a month. Mr. and Mrs. E.H. Stone were guests Friday night at the wedding of their nephew, Bert Conliff. Mr. and Mrs. D.H. Thompson were dinner guests yesterday of Mrs. Thompson's parents, Mr. and Mrs.E.H. Stone, of La Habra. FULLERTON SHIPPED 42 CARS LAST WEEK There were 42 cars of Oranges shipped out of Fullerton last week, according to complete estimates obtained today, compared with 51 cars the preceding week. The Benchley Fruit Co. shipped 15 cars of oranges, the Placentia Orange Growers Asn., 20 cars, and the American Fruit Growers, Inc., 7 cars. GUESTS AT DUPUY HOME Mr. and Mrs. Ben F. Dupuy and family of No. Spadra-rd, have as their house guests for several days Mr. Dupuy's mother, Mrs. Marletta Dupuy, and his brother, Victor N. Dupuy, of So. Pasadena, Mrs. Dupuy expects to leave the Southland for a year or two in Ohio within a short time. This is likely to be her last visit in Fullerton for some time. SURPRISE BIRTHDAY PARTY Miss Isabel and Masters Paul and Will Dunlap, daughter and sons of Mr. and Mrs. A. H. Dunlap, Jr., of S. Nicholas-ave, were given a surprise party at their home Saturday afternoon by their friends because of their birthdays which have recently occurred or will soon occur. Outdoor games were played, and Mrs. Dunlap assisted by Mrs. N. Frank Morse served refreshments of sandwiches, ice cream and cake.
