The development of that volume of insurance business within seven years tells the story of the progress and popularity of the Orange-co., organization. The club was launched seven years ago when a group of local business men with foresight penetrating the future and anticipating the auto development of today, decided that an organization should be effected that would offer insurance and service at actual cost. The club has grown from a mere handful of enthusiastic motorlats until today it has 2600 members. LAW SUIT A civil action for $35,096.34 brought by the Pacific Mutual Life Insurance Co. against M. and Handel Kujawsky, of the Harper district. Jules Kaufman, the Holly Sugar Co. and others was to be heard in department No. 1 of the Superior court Monday. The basis of the suit hinges on the forgclosure of a mortgage and $30,000 alleged to be due on a promisory note issued in Oct. 1919. Other claim against the defendant consist of $500, alleged to be due as interest on the $30,000; $1,596.34, said to have been advanced by the plaintiff for payment of taxes and assessments on the property involved; $10 for searching the records relative to the title of the property and $3000 attorney's fees. The plaintiffs ask that the court decree that the property, which is situated in the Rancho Las Bolsas, be sold by the sheriff subject to the plaintiffs lein and that the proceeds be applied to payment of the amount due from the defendants. The tide is turning strongly toward world peace and better friendship and understanding among nations. The United States, happily, is taking leading role in the great drama that should transform the world. EX-WIFE ADMIT 3 SHE SLAPPED HUSBAND "You bet I slapped his face. I slapped it good and plenty and I'll do it again if he ever calls me—the names he did when I caught him in a cafe with another woman." So declared Mrs. Angelena Cohen of 2977 Budlong-ave, Los Anegels, in answer to a question by W. J. Ford, attorney for Harry Y. Cohen, recently divorced husband of Mrs. Cohen. Mrs. Cohen was on the stand in the justice court at Santa Ana to press a statutory charge she brought against Cohen June 21, last. She told of trailing her husband from a cafe at Del Mar to Santa Ana, where she again found him in company with "the other woman." She said that she called at three hotels before she found her husband and then she caught him in the act of signing the hotel register. Two hours later Mr. Cohen, aided by Undersheriff E. E. French and Deputy Herman J. Zabel routed Cohen from the hostelry. Attorney Ford argued that the charge brot against Cohen was not sufficient to constitute a cause for action and that no offense had been committed under the California state laws. The state's attorney, he argued, failed to prove that Cohen had violated a statute. Justice of the Peace dismissed the action and returned to Cohen $500 cash ball which he put up at the time of his arraignment. IT'S Vacation Time S; GET OUT INTO THE OPEN!
