BUY EQUIPMENT FOR PLACENTIA SCHOOL PLACENTIA, June 30. (Spl.)—The Placentia grammar school has purchased for the use of its seventh and eighth grade cooking classes the equipment of the Fullerton high school's cooking department. The high school plans to install complete new equipment in its new domestic science building. Mr. and Mrs. Lee Porter have gone to Murrietta Hot Springs, Mr. Porter has fully recovered from the effects of the bite which he received from a mad dog some weeks ago. Mr. Placentia Gli Scouts who attended the Y. W. C. A camp at Mt. Baldy returned Monday and report a most enjoyable time. Those who made the trip are Laurine Kennedy, Frances Schalles, Iona Biellecidt, Helen Ely, Dorothy Abbot and Thelma Green. The Scouts were accompanied by Mr. and Mrs. Gage. The employees of the Placentia Mutual Orange Assn., together with the members of the association and their families are planning a picnic to be held the latter part of July. West Coast Lease WEST COAST, June 30. (Spl.)—Mr. and Mrs. Holly Schumacher will attend the Elks' barbecue at Orange-co. park, Wednesday night. Mr. and Mrs. W. J. Cameron and two sons, Glen and Cecil, were Los Angeles visitors last Tuesday. Mr. and Mrs. Walter Muzzall will at lend the Elks' barbecue at Orange-co. park, Wednesday night. Mr. and Mrs. W. C. Watson of Sunshine-ave has purchased a home-in Orange and will move there as soon as they conveniently can. Mr. and Mrs. C. H. Keen and daughter, Ursula, will motor to Burbank Thursday to visit their daughter and her husband, Mr. and Mrs. M. W. Cobb. Mr. Edwin Heffner broke his arm last Saturday while trying to crank his Ford. He is getting along nicely. Mrs. E. Muzzall and her brother, Mr. Berry, have been called to Oklahoma to their mother's bedside as she is very ill. Mr. George Swarts is sporting a new Bulk these days. were West Coast visitors Tuesday at the home of her sister, Mrs. James Tunis, Mr. Purnel is architect and manager of the Pacific Studio. They expect to return by the 4th of July to Burlingame. Mrs. C. H. Storcy and daughter Gladys from North Dakota will spend two months visiting relatives and friends in Los Angeles, Long Beach and West Coast. Mr. and Mrs. James Tunis expect to visit them tomorrow at Dr. Storey's home in Los Angeles. Mrs. Ernest Campbell, and Mr. and Mrs. Perry motored to Pasadena Wednesday night to visit Mr. and Mrs. Perry's relatives. Miss Marina Clark of Los Angeles will spend the week-end at her aunt's home in West Coast. Mr. and Mrs. Phillips and children were Anaheim visitors last Monday morning. Mrs. George Swarts and two little daughters, Eva and Patricia, Urania Keen and Evelyn Raymond were Fullerton visitors Wednesday afternoon. Mr. and Mrs. Monroe Chambers noted to Whittler last Tuesday and were dinner guests at the Mabee home, at a chicken dinner. Covers were laid for eight. Mr. Robert Tash and wife will return soon to Chicago after being out here for a year. They have been living at Yorba, Mr. Tash was an employee of the Amalgamated Oil Co. The people are excited over the talk of improvements on the West Coast lease. Mr. Stout is drilling at Long Beach now... He has bought a home there and will move his family to that city in the near future. Mrs. J. T. Green has his filling station about completed at the junction of Bren-blvd, and Valencia-ave. The store of Mr. and Mrs. Williams recently purchased from John Martin is well stocked up and they are doing a fine business on the West Coast. Mrs. Allen and daughter Lucerne of Santa Ana are living with Mrs. Anna Slber now, at W. C. B. H., Mrs. Allen feels fine here and says she likes it out here. Mrs. Bieler and her daughter, Miss Sarah moved to Santa Ana, They have been helping at the West Coast boarding house for several months. Sheriff Traeger stated that Betty's all-night visits to the jail were without his knowledge or consent and would be prohibited in the future.
