NEWS OF FULLERTON
MERRY TIME AT STUNT PARTY
The local P. E. O. had a rollicking time at their stunt party yesterday afternoon in the home of Mrs. S. S. Williamson. After the regular business meeting various stunts were performed by each member. They were clad in costumes of every description and thoroughly enjoyed the relaxation offered by this yearly diversion from their regular literary programs.
A report was made by the past state president, Mrs. Wagner of Placentia, that the fund of $100,000, which is kept for the purpose of loaning money to girls who wish to attend college, is now entirely exhausted. A greater demand has been made on them this year than ever before.
She also reported that the California members were the only ones in the U. S. who had met their yearly subscription to this fund of one dollar per capita. This is a strictly voluntary contribution, and the P. E. O. has for years been doing some good work with this money toward higher education among the girls of our country.
MISS DOWLING CALLED BACK
It will doubtless be of interest to Fullerton friends of Rev. and Mrs. Frank Dowling to know that Miss Harriet Dowling, their daughter, who has been teaching music in Oregon Agricultural College, has had very urgent appeals to return there next year, and has been given a very attractive offer.
She will take a trip to Salt Lake soon and will return to Placentia about the first of August.
BOUQUETS FOR SENIORS
The Sophomore class of F. U. H. S. are presenting each Senior with a beautiful French bouquet of straw flowers to wear at the commencement exercises tonight.
PARTY AT SUMMER HOME
A party of friends surprised Mrs. A. Pierotti of Placentia in her summer home at Newport Beach last night. The party was a complete surprise as Mrs. Pierotti was visiting a neighbor at the time of their arrival, and upon her return she found them enjoying themselves in her home.

FORM CORPORATION TO BUILD HOSTELRY
Thirteen incorporators were elected this morning at a meeting of the hotel committee of the Fullerton B. of T. in the First National bank to form a hotel company for the purpose of erecting a new hotel in Fullerton on the site on No. Spadra-rd promised by the city trustees. The corporation will be known as The Community Hotel Assn. of Fullerton, and will be capitalized at $200,-000, shares selling at $100 each. A committee was also appointed from their own number to obtain the option on the site from the trustees, close negotiations and hold the option in escrow.
It is expected to be an easy matter to negotiate a lease for the prospective hotel if such a course is later decided upon, as two prominent hotel men of Los Angeles, H. S. Richardson and G. M. Aldridge, were in Fullerton yesterday afternoon to interview the hotel committee along this line.
The incorporators chosen are C. Chapman, E. K., Benchley, Emanual Smith, F. C. Krause, R. S. Gregory, N. Frank Morse, Maj. E. J. Marks, J. Charles Thamer, S. C. Hartranft, Walter Stillman, Stanley Chapman, John Bastanchury and G. W. Finch.
Teachers Announce Plans for Summer
FULLERTON H. S. NOTES
Mr. H. W. Daniels, who for 15 years has been identified with F. U. H. S. is withdrawing permanently from his position as teacher of mathematics and he will devote his time to the care of his orange grove in this city.
Mr. Shaver will take his place as teacher of mathematics and J. C. athletics.
Mr. Hoffman, head of the English department, and Mr. Sayre of the manual training department, have re-but is guaranteed not to have one-half of one per cent cement but contains large amounts of potash, nitrogen and gypsum.

(Continued from page 1)
property the larger percentage of this water seeped into the ground and was wasted.
"The fact that it didn't come to the surface is easily explained by the sandy soil and the fact that there is an underground river at this place at a depth of 65 feet into which the water sank," he stated. "A great deal of the remainder of the water was used in irrigating gardens, plants and corn patches in violation of the contract which stated that the water was for domestic consumption only, and as a result those on the farthest end of the line got little or no water," he declared.
He recounted how in one particular 24 hours 11 families had been supplied with 3,759 gallons of water, and how on another occasion 11 takers had been supplied with 222 gallons each in one hour and only three of four of them got any water.
Mr. Lawrie proposed to them that they repair the pipe lines and he would assist them. No answer was made to his proposition. Neither was any answer made to his proposition that he would supply them with water for a community payment of $65 a month, nor as yet to his last proposition, that each of the families place a meter in the house and pay for just what water they use. The community plan embodies the provision that if the maximum 6,500 cubic was not used, only the amount that was used would be paid for. The latest contract in force between them can be clearly seen from the following printed form:
