PICNIC AT COUNTY PARK
The pupils of Miss Ruth Louise Coon's grade of Central school enjoyed a picnic at Orange-co park last evening. Some motored up at the close of school, while others went up later. Games of various kinds were played, hikes were taken, and altogether a most delightful time spent.
At 6 o'clock all gathered around the large tables and enjoyed a most bountiful picnic supper. MISCELLANEOUS SHOWER
A delightful miscellaneous shower was given last evening to Miss Fay Rice of Redlands, formerly a nurse of Anaheim, who will be married on June 23. The shower was given by Miss Lillian Dumfee. The house was prettily decorated in honor of the occasion with a variety of roses and a daunting and delicious two-course lunchcon was served. Miss Rice received many beautiful gifts. BOOKLOVERS MEET IN ONTARIO
The Booklovers met on Tuesday afternoon at the home of Mrs. A. C. Hargrave in Ontario. The club motorized to Ontario and a most enjoyable time was spent. The hostess served light refreshments after which they discussed H. G. Wells and gave out the program for the coming year. The guest of honor was Mrs. C. R.
