The Girls' department has grown so rapidly that it has been subdivided into a senior and junior department. Each department has been still further divided into small classes which will meet once each month for the purpose of musical criticism and appreciation. Neva Faye Anderson of Garden Grove received the prize for having the highest grade during the past term. PICNIC AT COUNTY PARK Miss Irene North gave a delightful picnic yesterday to 17 of her friends at the County park. Those present were Misses Doris Desch, Victoria Kochler, Clara Stoffel, Mary Neila, Catherine Shae, Collette De Cook, Rose De Cook, Barnaldine De Cook, Frances De Cook, Dorothy Elkol, Grace Klesler, Clara Klesler. ENTERTAINS FOR EBELL Mrs. J. W. Sackett of 1313 Lincoln-ave entertained yesterday afternoon for the benefit of the Ebell club. A delicious two course lunch was served and the afternoon was spent in playing 500. Mrs. Adkins won the first prize and Mrs. J. A. Clayes the second. Thirty two members of the Ebell club were present. ENTERTAIN AT DINNER Mr. and Mrs. H. Kampling entertained at dinner on Sunday evening in honor of Mr. and Mrs. Harry McDonald of Colton. The evening was spent in music and social chat. Those present were, Mr. and Mrs. Paul Bock, Mr. and Mrs. W. J. Haines and Miss Mayme Kampling. ENTERTAIN CONGREGATION Dr. and Mrs. J. A. Geissinger and their family have invited the entire congregation and their friends of the Methodist White Temple to spend the evening of June the 3rd with them informally at the parsonage. The gathering will be in the form of a house and garden party and much fun is being planned. SYMPHONY CONCERT The choir of the White Temple is bringing the Orange County Orchestra to the high school auditorium on the evening of June 6th. This will be the first chance for local people to hear this talented organization. DELIGHTFUL SURPRISE PARTY A delightful surprise party was given Miss Alloc Miller Saturday afternoon in honor of her thirteenth birthday at the home of her aunt, Mrs. J. T. Lyons, of East-st. The house was beautifully decorated in honor of the occasion with Dorothy Perkins roses and a delicious two-course lunchoon was served. The young lady received many beautiful presents. The afternoon was spent in music and games. Those present were Misses Maud Livingston, Ruth Dahl, Lillian and Evlyn Hartfield, Katherine Bolz, Marie and Virginia Nolk, Loving D'Tools, Wilma Mitchell, Viola Miller and Norma Armbrust. MASONS BANQUET WEDNESDAY The Anaheim Masonic lodge will give a chicken dinner, June 1 at 6:20 o'clock at the Masonic Temple on Emily-st, it was announced today. Following the banquet there will be an address by Rev. Bruce Brown of Los Angeles. Tickets for the banquet are $1 a pair. All Masons and their wives are invited. Friday night the local Masonic lodge will put on the third degree. FIX BAIL AT $500 FOR DRUNK CHARGE Judge Howard had his hands full of alleged "drunks" today. A Mexican named Valesquiz had hailed before him this morning on the charge of being intoxicated. He was held to the superior court on a ball of $500. This afternoon M. Dinkle is being given a hearing on the same charge.
