FULLERTON SCHOOL FAIR OPENS TODAY
The School Fair opened today.
The grammar schools and the displays that surpass the excellent ones of last year.
A manual training display by frammar schools and the high school can be seen in the Polytechnic or manual training building. The machine shop is in operation and the boys will be at their work throughout the day and evening.
The Home Economics work of all the schools is on display in the east end of the Junior college building, both first and second floors. The exhibit of food stuffs, wearing apparel, and general needle work are of exceptional interest.
The Art work of which there was such a splendid exhibit last year is displayed in the west end of the Junior college building, both floors, and in other buildings to which your attention is directed by posters.
The Commercial department of the high school invites your careful attention to displays of the work of bookkeeping, typewriting, penmanship and advertising classes. Throughout the afternoon students will be working on the various machines of the department for demonstration purposes.
A typewriting contest was held at 1:30 p.m.
The various high schools of the county are participating in a freshman track meet, the preliminaries of which began at 10 a.m., concluding about 11 a.m. The finals were scheduled to open at 2 p.m. and likely will close about 4 p.m. N. Frank Morse is contributing a very beautiful trophy which will be presented to the winning school. This meet promises to be of more than ordinary interest as the freshmen have shown rather remark-
ing on the various machines of the department for demonstration purposes.
