BUILDING PLANNED
In accordance with the decision on the part of the Santa Ana school board that it would be impossible best fall to accommodate the first two year high school classes of the Tustin and Garden Grove schools, Garden Grove plans the erection of temporary school buildings during the summer months.
The present plan is to erect four rooms for the grammar grade students and these will be so arranged that the freshman class of the high school will have accommodations in the building, and if possible the sophomore class also.
For the present the two upper classes will be taken care of in the Santa Ana high school as will those of Tustin, although it is thought the arrangement will gradually eliminate the out of town students as the break in the work of the four years will not be altogether advisable and probabilities are cash district will eventually have the full four-year course.
In Tustin, the newly built primary building will be used for the freshman and sophomore classes of the high school.
HUNTINGTON BEACH MAN WINS BATTERY
J. E. Geddes, of Huntington Beach, holding No. 2948, won the Vesta battery given away at the Valencia Orange Show by West Bros., of the Auto Electric Maintenance Co., of Anaheim. Orange-co distributors, who claim many people were convinced during the show that the Vesta is the only battery that is really different from all other mikes—the only battery with the indestructible isolator that holds the plates apart, absolutely preventing the warping or buckling of plates which is the cause of 90 per cent of the battery trouble in other makes of batteries.
West Bros. feel certain that many sales will be made from the convincing proof that the Vesta is different and that the Vesta is sold on an absolutely two year guarantee. The drawing took place from the stage of the show and was witnessed by the largest crowd present during the time the show was in progress. West Bros. expressed regret that there were so many disappointed by not receiving the battery.

U.S. GRABS ENTIRE BERGDOLL ESTATE
PHILADELPHIA, Pa., May 27.—The entire property of Grover Cleveland Bergdoll, millionaire draft dodger, was seized by the United States government here today.
Colonel Thomas W. Miller, alien property custodian of the United States, arrived in Philadelphia and personally made the seizure by direction of President Harding and under the authority of the "trade with the enemy act."
Mrs. Emma Bergdoll was immediately served with a formal demand to make a detailed report of all the holdings of Grover Cleveland Bergdoll and was notified that all of the estate of Grover Cleveland Bergdoll in Philadelphia, which included the Bergdoll castle at 52nd and Wynne-field avenue, would be taken over by the alien property custody and would be administered by that office.
Miller and Carroll then went to several banks where Bergdoll funds are deposited and served similar demands.
An attachment on all of the slacker's holdings in the Bergdoll or writing company plant was also made by Miller. All mortgages to Bergdoll and the tenants in his properties will be served likewise, Miller announced.
BEACH OIL CITY LOT COURT FIGHT POINT
An official witness to hundreds of cases tried in the local superior courts, Earl R. Abbey, better known among his friends as "Oil" Abbey, today named himself as plaintiff in a civil action which he filed in superior court.
Abbey has brought suit against Mr. and Mrs. J. F. Spaulding of Taft, Calif., to compel them to sell a lot at Huntington Beach on which he paid an option of $100.
Abbey alleges that the lot is, or was owned jointly by Spaulding and his wife, and that on May 7, last, they agreed to sell the lot to him through their agent, T. B. Talbert, for the sum of $4,000.
According to the complaint, the defendants confirmed the sale in writing and by wire to their agent. And it is alleged Abby had been involved in a jury returned a verdict awarding $2,700 damages to H. E. Sleeper, husband of the plaintiff in the suit which was tried yesterday. Sleeper was not injured himself but sued to recover money paid for hospital treatments to physicians and others, incident to the injury to his wife.
BEACH FIELD HELPS LOWER OIL PRICES
Of prime interest to boosters of Orange-co is the assertion of prominent oil men that the lower prices of oil and gasoline will result largely from the tremendous volume that the Huntington Beach field is adding to the state's daily output of crude oil.
According to advice reaching here today from Los Angeles, W. L. Andrews, representative there of the Standard Oil Co., stated, in support of his forecast that prices would—The Plain.

Mrs. Sleeper sought $7,500 damages for a double fracture of her right leg, sustained in August, 1919, when she stepped from a launch operated by the company to the ladder leading to the deck of a torpedo boat anchored in Newport bay.

Abbey has brought suit against Mr. and Mrs. J. F. Spauling of Taft, Calif., to compel them to sell a lot at Huntington Beach on which he paid an option of $100.
Abbey alleges that the lot is, or was owned jointly by Spauling and his wife, and that on May 7, last, they agreed to sell the lot to him through their agent, T. B. Talbert, for the sum of $4,000.
According to the complaint, the defendants confirmed the sale in writing and by wire to their agent. And, it is alleged, Abbey tendered to Talbert May 23, $3,912.27, representing the purchase price less the initial payment of $100 and plus interest of 7 per cent.
Abbey asserts that the defendants have declined to accept payment for the property and threatened to sell the lot to another party. Because of this refusal on the part of the defendants to convey the property he claims that he has been injured to the extent of $10,000.

May Deport Mexican
Who Fought Deputies
Steve may be taken by county authorities to deport Fernandez Rivas,
a Mexican, who was found guilty in
Santa Ana justice court of a battery
charge preferred by Deputy Sheriff
J. H. Deck. According to Justice Cox
the Mexican is a dangerous character;
Cox does not believe that Rivas
should be turned loose.
Judge Cox continued the pronouncing of judgment to June at which time it is understood the deportation of the Mexican will be considered.
While working in Orange county park with a ball and chain tied to his feet Rivas became angered at Deptuy Sheriff Deck. Picking up the iron ball he threw it at Deck. When the chain straightened the apparatus of the ball jerked Rivas feet from under him.
It is a fortunate registered letter these days; that gets through to life destination without being rifted by a robber.
