The La Merced Oil Co.'s still having some trouble getting its Manly No. 1 to produce. Drilled to 2750, the tubing parted, could not be recovered and is now being drilled up. Heaving sand has played a big part in preventing this well from going on production several months ago. Caikins No. 1 failed to get a shut off on the water and is now standing idle, and nothing will probably be done until some production is obtained from the Manly well.
