FULLERTON BRANCH STATION FOR U.S.L. Finding exceptional opportunities to extend the best possible service to motorists in No. Orange county, the Automotive Electric Co., distributors for USL storage batteries and factory representatives for a number of auto electrical systems, will open a Fullerton service station at 117 So. Spadra next week. Their Anaheim office is located at So. Los Angeles-st. Speaking of the USL battery members of the firm point to the fact that Cornelius Vanderbilt Jr., of New York City, who has chosen a newspaper career in preference to Newport society, is a firm believer in the efficiency of the USL battery machine-pasted plates. Mr. Vanderbilt is a reporter on the New York Herald. One of his first exclusive beats was to interview the Prince of Wales in person, being the first American reporter to obtain a story first-hand from the Prince. Regarding machine-pasted plates, he had this to say recently: "I have been in the habit of making long automobile tours every summer. Naturally, I am a bit hard on storage batteries. As I have been driving automobiles of various makes for years my experience has enabled me to get a fair insight into the workings of a storage battery. With reference to it I may say that I believe the machine-pasted plates manufactured by the U.S. Light & Heat Corporation, to be superior in all respects to any other storage battery made." "I am familiar with USL service stations, having visited many in the course of my automobile tours over the country. May I add also, that I have never received more courteous treatment nor better service than I have received from these excellent stations. It is a pleasure to journey by automobile when one knows that wherever he may be in the United States or Canada, there is likely to be a U.SL service station handy to attend to one's wants." NEW MAXWELL GAINS GREATER POPULARITY The "good new Maxwell" is gaining greater favor with old friends and making new ones every day and we certainly feel fortunate that we were able to secure the agency for this remarkable car," states members of the firm of Turton and Lumadon, dealers for northern Orange county. They also report the sale of two Maxwell touring cars during the past week. The deliveries were made to A. A. Hardin, La Labra, and I. B. Dickhout, Placentia. YOU CANNOT KEEP OLDSMOBILE DOWN "You can't keep the Oldmobile Four down, no difference how long or how steep the incline, and in addition to its super power it rides and drives like a real automobile," states H. S. Gellinette of the local agency. He further adds that people are realizing that it is one of the best values of the market and reports several sales as proof of the statement. J. R. Gallimore of Fullerton purchased a coupe, making his second Oldmobile. Touring cars were delivered to Mr. Holly of Fullerton and Lod Carey of Santa Ana. CHANDLER OWNERS FREQUENTLY REPEAT Cases where owners are driving their second and even third Chandler are every day occurrences and so seldom do they make a change to other makes of cars that the saying, "once a Chandler owner, always a Chandler owner," is almost undisputable, states Mr. Goodcel of the local Chandler and Cleveland Service sedan has J. Out in Front The squeakless machine is the one that "gets the checkered flag" first, on the track or off. Squeaks always mean rust and friction—which combination is a mighty handicap to speed and efficiency. A little Bassick Graphite Penetrating Oil in the right place will kill the squeaks and put the kibosh on the rust. You don't need to wedge the spring leaves apart. Bassick Graphite Penetrating Oil penetrates through-out, and after dissolving the rust, leaves a protective coating of dry graphite, which stops the formation of more rust.
