CROWDS ATTRACTED BY TEXCAL GUSHER BUENA PARK, May 12.—(Spl.)—Mr. L. McComber spent Monday at Huntington Beach looking over the new Texcal gusher in which he has stock. Mr. McComber states there was such a crowd you could not get parking space or anything to eat. Mr. J. W. Bishop returned on Tuesday from a business trip to Visalia. Randolph Packing Co. packed three clear loads of cabbage on Tuesday. Mr. and Mrs. Clyde E. Ritter motored to Hawthorne on Sunday to look over the oil situation there. Mrs. E. E. Thurman returned on Monday from a week's visit with her sons Arthur and Edward Thurman at Redlands. Mr. and Mrs. A. E. Smothers and daughter Martha Marie spent the week end at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Harker in Los Angeles. Mr. Fred Foot arrived on Tuesday from Berkley to spend the summer with his mother. They expect to take a cottage at one of the beaches and spend the summer there. Mrs. Hattie A. Allen has taken out a brokers license under Mr. C. W. Yonge of Huntington Beach and is now selling stock in the Sun Oil Co. Talbert Oil Co., Huntington Central and Huntington National companies. Mr. and Mrs. Jack Golden were dinner guests at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Te Winkle at Costa Meadow on Tuesday evening. Mr. and Mrs. J. C. Allen motored to Huntington Beach on Sunday. Mr. and Mrs. R. C. Onuthon and daughter Jewell and Mr. Dick Wilkins were Los Angeles visitors on Tuesday. Mr. and Mrs. L. J. Robinson and Mr. and Mrs. W. B. Shaw took in the show "Way Down East," at the Rialto theater Fullerton, on Tuesday evening. M. A. Neis made a business trip to Los Angeles on Tuesday, Mr. John Gibbon of Chicago who has been visiting at the Nelson home accompanied him. Mr. and Mrs. J. Walter Wilson attended "Way Down East" at the Fullerton Rialto on Tuesday evening. WHIAN ASSISTS TWO BANDITS LS ANGELES, May 12.-Two bands, accompanied by a pretty young woman, held up and robbed J. J. Burke of 811 West 32nd-street near M.O.D.FIELD MAN HERE WITH EXHIBIT W. H. Blodget, Jr., assistant field manager of the Mutual Orange Distributors, accompanied by Bruce W. McDaniel, publicity manager of the same organization is in Anaheim preparing a special exhibit for the Valencia Orange Show, Mr. Blodget supervised the M.O.D.exhibit at the San Bernardino show, which was given the first prize. A special feature is being made of the 50 foot rack display of the organization Work was begun on the exhibit Tuesday afternoon. EXECUTIVE MEETING OF WOMAN'S CLUB YORBA LINDA, May 12.-An executive meeting of the Y.L.Woman's Club was held at the home of Mrs.Roy Shook on Monday afternoon. This committee has charge of the last meeting of the year, which will be held Tuesday, May 24th, and it was decided that the ladies would entertain their husbands on that evening. The club's regular meeting was held Tuesday afternoon in Ley hall in charge of the social committee. Light refreshments were served. Mr.Wm.Cochran was a Whittler visitor Saturday. There was a dance in Ley hall on Saturday evening which was well attended. Music was furnished by Mrs.Marie Cochran at the piano, Mr.Kendrick and Vertis Gelssinger, violins, B.Swal saxophone and Vernon Geissinger, trap drum. Mr.Donald Guthrie spent Saturday in Los Angeles. Miss Olive Gale spent the week end with her friend, Miss Collins of Olinda. Mrs.J.A.Buckmaster, who has been on the sick list the past week, is abute to be out again. Mrs.Joe Bohannona, son of Mr. and Mrs.J.Bohannonna, and who has been stationed at New York with the naval reserves has received his honorable discharge and is visiting his parents here. Joe had a severe illness the trouble being plural pneumonia and he was sent to California to recuperate. He is taking treatment in Los Angeles and goes back and forth on the car.His many friends hope he will soon be strong again. There has been an epidemic of "plink eye" among the school children here "Way Down East," at the Illicato theatre Fullerton, on Tuesday evening. M. A. Nelson made a business trip to Los Angeles on Tuesday. Mr. John Gibbon of Chicago who has been visiting at the Nulson home accompanied him. Mr. and Mrs. J. Walter Wilson attended "Way Down East" at the Fullerton Italo on Tuesday evening. WOIAN ASSISTS TWO BANDITS LS ANGELES, May 12.—Two bands, accompanied by a pretty young woman, held up and robbed J. J. Erke of 811 West 32nd-st, near his time early today. The young woman remained in the car while the bandits searched Burke for his valuables.
