DELIGHTFUL BIRTHDAY PARTY
A.M. Maas was the honored guest of a delightful birthday party on Tuesday afternoon and evening at his home on S. Palm-st. The affair was planned as a surprise for Mr. Maas by other members of his family who remembered that this date was the 52nd anniversary of his birthday.
The Maas home had been delightfully decorated for the occasion with Cecil Brunner roses and orange blossoms and at 5 o'clock a delicious three course dinner was served. There was a splendid birthday cake though the candles were missing.
Covers had been laid for the members of Mr. Maas' family, which included his son, Ralph Maas and family.
The honoree was given the best wishes of the company for many happy returns of this anniversary and was also presented with a number of fine gifts.
MASONIC CLUB MEETS
A number of Anaheim gentlemen enjoyed a most delightful meeting of the Masonic club of Orange-co at Yorba Linda on Wednesday evening. The event was the regular monthly meeting of the club.
The first part of the evening was spent in partaking of the excellent 7 o'clock dinner which was served by the ladies of the O. E. S.
The dinner was followed by a short business session after which Dr. G. A. Lindsay of Fullerton delivered every fine address on Mason-

ENTERTAINING AT LUNCHEON
Mrs. Peter J. Welsel of Santa Fe Springs was a delightful luncheon hostess on Wednesday at her home. The guest list included a number of Anaheim ladies. Mrs. Weisel is a former resident of this city.
The rooms of her home had been prettily decorated with a profusion of roses and these flowers were used in making the luncheon table more attractive. A delicious three course menu was served by the hostess.
The afternoon was spent in a pleasant social manner.
Covers were laid at the table for Mrs. Agge of Santa Fe Springs and the following ladies from Anaheim: Mesdames Homer Ames, F. Borchert, F. Zeppenfeld, J. W. Wallop, F. H. Houck and the hostess.
SENIOR CLASS ENJOYS PICNIC
Members of the Senior class of the Anaheim high school, accompanied by several members of the faculty and a few parents, motored to Orange-co park this evening to enjoy a picnic. The class consists of 45 members and they left shortly after 3 o'clock for the scene of merriment. One of the big features of the evening will be a steak roast and other goodies of a picnic basket nature.
The usual picnic stunts which give the proper zest to a gathering of this sort will not be lacking. The class has enjoyed a number of picnics and outings and this one will perhaps be the last exclusive senior affair for this year.
