NEWS OF FULLERTON FRENCH BUSY WITH SPEED CASES TODAY Judge French was again kept busy this morning with speeders, having "laid off" the hoboes for a little season and "sat down" on the traffic violators. William E. Berry, arrested by Deputy Marshal Ashley, on the charge of speeding, was fined $10. Mr. Ashley declared he was going more than 50 miles an hour but being unable to positively prove it in court, Berry was saved the fate of Bebe Daniels. H. R. Mahoney of San Diego was fined $10 for speeding. N. D. Prosser of Pasadena was fined $10 for speeding. G. G. Clark of Anaheim was fined $5 for running without a tail light. Judge French apparently is trying to cop the pinion of fame of "death to speeders" from Judge Cox of Santa Ana. —Anaheim Post No. 72, American Legion Dance every Friday. CLASS ELECTS OFFICERS The King's Daughters, the woman's Bible class of the Christian church, have elected officers as follows: president, Mrs. George L. Story; secretary, Mrs. John P. Houser; guest secretary, Dr. Beatrice McMullen; treasurer, Mrs. Charles Hutchinson. The King's Daughters is the largest woman's Bible class in Southern California, it is believed, and the ladies have ambitions to rival the men's class, both as to numbers and work accomplished. INFORM PUBLIC OF NEED The city trustees of Fullerton are going to start a campaign of education and sentiment right away concerning the forthcoming bond issue for enlarging the city water works, reservoir, and repairs to water pipes. Considerable sentiment has been discovered against the bond issue and a further outlay of money at this time, but this expression, it is contended, results from the fact that the general public is not acquainted with the actual conditions. He used his Last Cartridge to Get a Deer. But—on the Way Back to Camp, with his Rifle Empty, he met a Bear! There are motorists who start out with a battery that has no reserve power. They pull the battery down with frequent starts. And when they must have one more start to avert an embarrassing engine-stall, the battery whispers: "That's all there is—there isn't any more." The Prest-O-Lite Battery uses less than one four-hundredth of its power-reserve for a single start—and the generator quickly replaces that. Robert V. F—DP GRUNION FAIL TO APPEAR A party of about 15 employees of the Central and Sitton garages went to the seashore last night to fish for grunion, a fish which for three nights out of a month during the full moon, for three months in the year, comes up on the sand to lay their eggs. However, they did not come up last night because of the fact that clouds hid the moon. A party from Anaheim also went grunion fishing with like luck.
