SPEND HONEYMOON IN YOSEMITE PARK
YORBA LINDA, April 18. (Special) Mr. and Mrs. Gaylord Page have returned from their honeymoon to Yosemite and have moved into the pretty home owned by the grooms' father, Mr. Crads Page of Fullerton.
Several indies from here attended the convention of the orange-co Federation of Women's clubs, held at Fullerton last Friday. Mrs. Christoferson and Mrs. B.M. Selover went to delegates from the local club and Mrs. E.K. Knight, Mrs. Carrie Guthrie, Mrs. Norman Guthrie, Mrs. G.F. Quigley and Mrs. Kellog, also enjoyed the meeting. There was a splendid exhibit of foreign arts and crafts, papers on "Parental School," "History and Landmarks, Presentation of National resources, and a splendid luncheon at noon. After the noon session, there was the election of officers for next year, a playlet, by the nurses section of the Fullerton Ebelli, a group of Scotch songs, in costume, by Mrs. Nancy Marlow of Newport Beach, a spirited discussion of the Smith-Towner bill, report of the resolutions committee by Mrs. N. Frank Morse of Fullerton and the presentation of the new officers. Mr. Palmer of Los Angeles also gave an interesting talk on the subject of a state sensor for "movies." Mr. Palmer, who has written 200 scenarios, knows what he is talking about when he states that a state censor would be worse than useless. Mrs. Murray Horne, president of the Huntington Beach club gave the response to the welcome. Mrs. Horne was formerly a president of the Yorba Linda club.
Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Shook and daughter, axl Mr. and Mrs. P.S.Amstutz left Fridday for a trip to Tulare. They plan to return today.
(Monday)
Mrs. B.A.Knight and children went to Long Beach Saturday. On Sunday they were joined by Mr.Knight and a family dinner was enjoyed at the home of Mrs.Knight's parents.
Mrs.Paul Madsen and daughter, Eva Mrs.J.A.Buckmaster and Miss Julia were shopping in Los Angeles Friday.
Angeles. Deputies called at that address with a subpoena but were informed that Mrs. Thompson had left the place.
In her complaint Mrs.Dorris Thompson alleged that Thompson married Beryl Thompson November 1.last, in Santa Ana,and that at that time he was her lawful husband.
HANDSOMEST MAN SHE'DEVER SEEN
Mother sent her to Boston to visit relatives,-to stay,'as she said, as long as they suited each other. The aunt was rich—and stylish—two butlers.Anna had a new dress, which the neighbor who made it,cotty smart. She took along a hug-melight Mother had made for Aunt Em.it was her luck to get there the day Aunt Em was giving the big shindy of the social season—whist in the afternoon and a ball at night. You know how it is to have a country cousin call when you are entertaining. And it was Cousin Em's first real big success socially.
Oh well! Aunt Em was frosty and hurried. The two grown cousins were just as bad. Finally, after digner alone in her room.Anna was told she could sit in the balcony, very quiet and watch the dancing.Another aunt, even richer, who didn't like the cousins, saw.Such a dress as Anna had-for a Tremont ball.
The aunt had another one,a gorgeous thing of salmon plink and styled within three stitches of a Paris dream.Only.Anna that they had forgotten the top.Her first decollette. She was pinker than the dress when the aunt insisted on taking her down to the ball.
On the steps she met Sanderson Heaven, what a handsome man-an full dress-easily the handsomest man she had ever seen.Hes insisted on dancing with her-attention very pleasant to the cousins who had their eyes for Sanderson, since his father was wealthy also.Sanderson wanted her-and Sanderson got her How?Well, the are many, many ways, and this was by marriage as she supported Bride for a few days of underwear.
