Fishing for drill pipe still continues at the Arcadia Oil Co.'s well. Washing over and cutting off has removed about half of the lost drill pipe. At Adobe No. 5 the Columbia Oil Producing Co. set a string of pipe and cemented at 2350. Rigging up work is about completed on the Scott Arnold No. 1. Adobe No. 4 is standing idle at 3250. Owing to mechanical troubles the General Petroleum was compelled to bring in Cruze No. 3 sooner than intended and the result was a small well. The La Merced Oil Co.'s Manly No. 1 is being put on the pump. Thus far the well has been giving a little trouble sanding up. When on production at its best it is thought that it will average 200 barrels. The production is showing some water that is thought to be formation water and will gradually disappear. Water T. McGanley has completed the work of redrilling and cleaning out of No. 1 and put the well back on production doing 409 barrels. No. 6 has also been cleaned out and redrilled and looks like a big improvement in the production will be the result. No. 10 is drilling at 2,000 feet.
