BUTTERFUL GARDEN PARTY AND DUNCEON AT SWAN HOME
One of the largest and most beautiful of the spring social annals was a garden party and bridge lunch on Wednesday at the home of Mrs. W. H. Swan, with Mrs. Swan and Mrs. William Goodrum as hostess.
The setting for this very charming affair was the beautiful garden surrounding the Swan home, and the patio, which was beautifully decorated in gorgeous spring flowers, carrying out a color scheme of rainbow tints. Small tables were placed on the lawn and over these were garden umbrellas, which served as canopies. On the tables were center benches of garden flowers, and here the guests were seated for the three course luncheon, which was served at noon o'clock, and preceded the game of bridge.
At cards the first prize was won by Miss Sophia Rimpau, second to Miss Ruby McNeal, of Oklahoma, and third to Mrs. Gerald Simpson.
The guest of honor were the Mesdames and Calma Larson of Seattle, and those bidden to meet these charming visitors were Mesdames Food Marsh, Percy Rust, H. E. W. Barnes, O. A. Mullinix, John Reuthen Leonard Evans, Earl Godrum, Miss Godrum, Miss Julia Goodrum, Mesdames H. L. Seares, G. R. Franklin, William Schumacher, Gerald Simpson, John Truxaw, A. B. McCoul, W. A.
