Monday, March 21, 1921 Society: Clubs : Lodges : Churches REUNION OF JAYNE FAMILY Mr. and Mrs. Harry S. Jayne and sons, Stuart and Robert; had the pleasure yesterday of attending a family reunion of the Jayne family in Santa Ana. The guests were entertained at the home of Mr. and Mrs. F. P. Jayne and at one o'clock a delicious three-course dinner was served. The home had been tastefully decorated in spring flowers and presented a charming appearance. Covers were laid at the table for Rev. and Mrs. George E. Jayne of Salt Lake City, Mr. and Mrs. Ellis Jayne of Santa Ana and their sons, Wesley and Donald, Mr. and Mrs. S. P. Jayne and their son, Maxwell, also of Santa Ana; the family from Anaheim, Miss Pauline Guthrie, an intimate friend of the family, and the host and hostess. In the afternoon the pary was joined by the parents of Mrs. Fred Jayne, Mr. and Mrs. Henry Crone of Anaheim, and Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Crone and their three children. The occasion was a very enjoyable one and a pleasant time was enjoyed by those who were present. JOINT HOSTESSES Mesdames H. G. Roberts and Francis Findley were joint hostesses Saturday evening in the Roberts home at 322 South Helena-st; when they entertained a number of guests in honor of the birthday anniversary of their husbands. Mr. Roberts observed his anniversary on Friday and Mr. Findlay on Saturday, so the combination celebration required. A delightful evening was spent in playing "Rock" and other games. A number of musical selections were also enjoyed. The rooms of the Roberts home had been prettily decorated with spring blossoms. Following the games a dainty two-course tray luncheon was served. The guests included Mr. and Mrs. Jenkins, Mr. and Mrs. L. D. Goodyear, George Goodyear, Mr. and Mrs. J. L. Findlay, Mr. and Mrs. Robert Sleman, Florence, Myrtle and Willard Findlay, Mr. Bastan. The out-of-town guests were Miss Reland Johnson and Ed Moorley of Los Angeles and Mrs. Walter Cochran of Taft. ENTERTAIN AT DINNER Mr. and Mrs. H. Hawkins entertained at dinner yesterday at their home on Ball-rd. A delicious four-course dinner menu was served at four o'clock by the hostess who was assisted in the serving by her niece, Miss Lyda Hamilton. A color scheme of pink and white was carried out in the decorations for the table and white and pink hyacinths were used in the carrying out of this chosen combination. Covers were laid for Mrs. Hawkins' brother and wife, Mr. and Mrs. Charles Hamilton of Los Angeles; Mr. and Mrs. Frank Bell and daughter, Miss Virginia, of Houston, Tex., and Mrs. Frank Sanning Jr., of Los Angeles. McClelland yesterday which was attended by more than 20 people. Guests included: W. F. McClelland and wife and daughter, Lodle; C. B. Holly and wife of Los Angeles, Etta Nemetz of Los Angeles, J. L. This will include the reports of all the various auxiliaries of the church, the Ladies' Aid, the C. LaMont spent the week-end in San Diego, enjoying a very pleasant trip. Mr. and Mrs. F. B. Kern and daughter, Faye, Walter Kern and Hugo Schula motored to Camp Baldy and found lots of snow. Mr. and Mrs. Charles Pauly, of Port Washington, Wis., were over Sunday guests in this city in the home of Mr. and Mrs. August Thill. Mr. J. P. Brastad went to Los Angeles Sunday evening and will be a were guests-yesterday in the home of Mr. and Mrs. B. J. Brown, on N.Lemon-st. Mrs. P. Machleb and daughter, Mrs.C.H.Bourquin, went to Los Angeles this morning. Mrs.Machleb spent the day in the city and Mrs.Bourquin will make Los Angeles her future home. Mr. and Mrs.R.T.Shearne, of Santa Ana, and Mrs.Shearne's mother, Mrs.J.A.Guthrie, and Robert and Herbert Johnston, of this city, spent Sunday at Redondo Beach, where they were the guests of friends. Mrs.Walter Cochran, of Taft, who has been the guest of Anahiem relatives and friends for several days, is spending a few days in Hollywood, where she is the guest of her sister, Miss Reland Johnson. Mr. and Mrs.A.Cohen and baby spent the week-end in Hollywood where they were guests of Mrs.Cohen's parents, Mr. and Mrs.M.C.Cohen, and in Los Angeles where they visited with Mrs.Cohen's mother, Mrs.A.Cohen. Mr. and Mrs.James Earbanle, of Hemet, have been guests during the past week in the home of Mr.Earbanle's aunt, Mrs.Albert Miller, and family, at Brookburst, Mr. and Mrs.Earbanle are newly-weds and are enjoying a honeymoon trip. Mr. Turner is having a little bad luck with his Chevrolet. He had to be towed on to the lease Wednesday. Mr. and Mrs. Harley Coffey motored to Los Angeles Saturday to get some friends of that place and will return Sunday evening. Little Doris Murray is now on the road to recovery. She seems to be gradually gaining her strength back. Mr. and Mrs. Harley Coffey and Mrs. McElhaney were Anaheim shopper on Thursday. Mr. and Mrs. Dilker took in the show at La Habra Tuesday night. Mrs. McElhaney, with her mother, of Brea, were Los Angeles shoppers on Wednesday. Mrs. Hubbard motored off the lease Friday on business. Mr. Stone, father of Ira Stone, who has been suffering with a carbuncle on his face the last week, is beginning to feel like himself again. Mrs. Riordan was a Los Angeles business visitor Tuesday. Leonard Coffey is now driving a Buick car. Floyd Coffey is expected home from San Pedro again any day. Story, a prominent specialist of Los Angeles the ceremony being performed there. Mr. Curtil is indeed lucky, for besides winning a lovely bride, Dr. Story gave them a wedding gift a ranch of 54 acres in the San Fernando valley, on which there is a beautiful sixteen room house. They will move there in the near future and they have a host of friends who wish them a happy wedded life.
