Mrs. Angie L. Bosworth was an out-of-town visitor over the week-end.
Mrs. Eva Gage of Huntington Beach gave a dinner in honor of the joint birthdays of Mrs. Bosworth and their father, Mr. Larable.
Mr. B. S. Bernis has been entertaining his sister, Mrs. Sam Miller, of Yucalpa, the last few days.
Mr. and Mrs. Roy DeWitt and family and Mr. and Mrs. Schuler, of Indiana, spent Sunday at Long Beach. As they were returning another car ran into them and the DeWitt machine suffered a broken wheel, windshield and fenders. Mrs. Schuler received severe bruises, but the rest escaped injury.
Mrs. Gwen Hogkins, of Whittier, was a week-end guest of Mr. and Mrs. H. H. Brown.
Mr. and Mrs. Ed Taylor spent Monday at San Pedro with Mrs. Taylors grandmother, Mrs. Handy, who is critically ill there.
Yorba Linda has not planned an Easter sunrise service for this year. Last year, as well as the year before, a great many people from Placentia attended our services and it is hoped a great many from here will attend the Placentia services this year. A splendid program has been prepared, which will probably be announced later.
Mr. and Mrs. H. C. Plekering and family and Mr. Arthur Bemis were poisoned from eating toad stools, which they mistook for mushrooms. They are very ill at their homes.
Mrs. Handy, of San Pedro, aged 72, mother of Mrs. J. P. Conley, passed away yesterday morning at her home following a third stroke of paralysis. Funeral will be held Friday afternoon in Santa Ana from the chapel of Smith & Tuthill.

WEST COAST, March 16.-Special.-Miss Vida Jones of the West Coast spent several days last week with her sister-in-law, Mrs. Ira Jones, of Fullerton.

Rev. Kent is reported as much better, but his wife has the misfortune of having to go thru with the same disease as her husband. Her many friends are praying for her speedy recovery.
William Cameron's little son, Cecil, is sick with diphtheria. Several new cases on the lease, so school will remain closed for another week.

Mr. Derby Jouce and his wife, formerly Miss Edith Huffman, of Union lease, have moved to Fullerton.
Mr. and Mrs. Lou Edmund, of West Coast, spent last Saturday night and Sunday in Placeville at the home of Mrs. Susie Edmund.
Mrs. Lenna Maber and her little son, Charles, of Whittier, were West Coast visitors last Wednesday afternoon.
Miss Bessie Jones and her brother, Lennie Jones, were Anaheim visitors last Saturday.
Mr. and Mrs. Holly Schumacher are entertaining their friend, Mrs. Wilson, of Los Angeles, this week.
Mr. and Mrs. James E. Robertson and Mrs. Lou Edmund spent last Friday in Anaheim.
Mr. and Mrs. C. H. Keen and son and daughter were Los Angeles visitors last Saturday.
Mr. J. C. James, of Oklahoma, a brother of Mrs. Keen, of West Coast, whom she has not seen for several years, was a visitor at her home last Saturday night and Sunday. Also her daughter, Mrs. M. W. Coob, and her husband, of Los Angeles, making a happy reunion.
SECURE SUBSCRIBERS FOR W. U. CLOCKS
Subscribers are being solicited by the Western Union to put in a clock circuit in Anaheim of self-winding, self-setting clocks regulated hourly by the Western Union, A.E.Loomis, local W.U. man, said today. About 25 subscribers are necessary to put in the circuit but the more the better all around. District Commercial Manager Hardy is in Anaheim today on this matter.
