Frank Murh will attend the wrestling match at the Los Angeles Athletic club this evening. Mrs. Murch and Mrs. Fred Luetje will accompany him to the city and will attend the performance at the Majestic.
Mr. William Jackson entertained last evening with two tables of whistle, having as her guests eight ladies whose husbands were attending Elks lodge. Following the games the hostess served a luncheon.
W. O. Jones, of Aberdeen, S. D., was a visitor last night at the home of H. H. Benjamin. Mr. Jones is a former city judge of Aberdeen and is now oil inspector of the state of South Dakota. This is his first visit to Calif.
Mr. and Mrs. J. M. Broadman have left for Frisco for a two weeks' visit before proceeding to their home at Helena, Mont. They have visited five weeks in the home of Mr. Broadman's sister, Mrs. Edwin Merritt.
Mr. and Mrs. Otto Back and Mrs. A. Graff, of Evanston, Ill., who are spending the winter in Santa Ana, are luncheon guests today in the O. P. Rust home, 511 N. Philadelphia-st. The families are old time friends from the east.
Mrs. A. E. Itue, who has been visiting in the home of her sister, Mrs. Harry D. Jilley, 604 Zeyn-st, has returned to her home in San Diego. Mrs. Itue will return here within the next two weeks and will complete her visit then.

Mrs. G. W. Closson, who has been quite ill at her home, suffering from an attack of pneumonia, was well enough to be taken to Los Angeles today, where she will spend some time in the home of her mother, Mrs. H. W. Creeling. Her sister, Mrs. Logan Smith, accompanied her to Los Angeles.
Mr. and Mrs. W. R. Barnes left Wednesday for their home in Redwood Falls, Minn., after spending several weeks in the home of Mr. Barnes' sister, Mrs. T. M. Quarton, W. Broadway, Mr. and Mrs. Barnes have been here since Christmas day and are so well pleased with Anaheim that they expect to return here in the fall and make this city their future home.

YORBA LINDA, March 10.—Special.—Relatives of Mrs. C. O. Burnison gave her a surprise dinner on Sunday, the occasion being her birthday. A jolly day was spent by the following guests: Mr. and Mrs. Lester Burnison, Mr. and Mrs. Elery Lintz Galentine and daughter, of Los Angeles, Mr. Robinson, of Fullerton, Miss Mildred Burnison, of Los Angeles, and the host and hostess, Mr. and Mrs. C. O. Burnison.
Mr. and Mrs. A. J. Theis are moving into the house recently built by Mr. Wm. Fassel in the Morris sub-division. Mr. and Mrs. Grover Beale are moving into the Wober home left vacant by Mr. and Mrs. Theis.
Mrs. J. J. Alexander spent last week with friends in Los Angeles. Mr. Alexander went in on Sunday morning and they both returned that day.
Miss Olive Gale is helping out in the local postoffice.
Mr. and Mrs. Gage, of Huntington Beach, were visitors in town Tuesday. They were dinner guests of Mr. and Mrs. A. C. Drake, of Prospect-ave.
Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Shook entertained Miss Esther Morris and Mr. Harold Stahler at dinner on Saturday evening in honor of Miss Morris, who was celebrating her birthday.

With her lived sister, Lucy (Mrs. Ada Lynn) and Aunt Belinda (Mrs. Christofferson). Their comforts were looked after by the maid, Kate (Mrs. M. A. Bridge), who was also very good. A niece who visited them was Jessie (Mrs. Anderson), and there was several humorous situations grew from the fact that Jessie had a large attendance at O.E.S.Dance.
BUENA PARK, March 10.—Special.—The usual large crowd was in attendance at the Eastern Star dance on Tuesday evening. The music is so good and everyone has such a good time that they always come again. Brick ice cream and wafers were served during the intermission and pretty girls sold pop corn balls. Another dance will be given in two weeks with the same music.
The fire trucks are now located in the creamy building while the new fire house is being built. The new house will be of hollow tile and concrete.
Dr. Frank Ashmore has purchased several lots in the Ritter sub-division and will build a home and office in the near future.
If nothing new develops within the week Miss Irma Robison will be home on Sunday.
The P.-T.A. held their regular meeting at the school hall on Tuesday evening. A program was arranged by the teachers which was enjoyed by all.The children of the first and second grades sang several songs and two little girls gave a recitation. The hit of the evening was a Virginia reel danced by eight boys and girls of the third and fourth grade in colonial costume. These little children and their teacher, Mrs. Calder, deserve much praise.After a short business session the meeting adjourned.

The Buena Park Woman’s club gave a “High Jinks” Wednesday in the form of a childrens’ party, the occasion being the 32nd birthday of the club.Refreshments consisting of ice cream and cake, all-day suckers and stick candy.Mrs. Herbert Bixby baked the birthday cake, which was in the form of a large pyramid, with candles, and placed upon a table decorated with flowers.

U.S.C.Glee Club Will Give Concert Mar. 18
One of the most popular singing organizations of the southwest is to be heard in concert on the evening of Friday, March 18th, when the Men's Glee Club of the U.S.C. will appear at the high school auditorium. The program they will offer is full of variety, color and contrast. While music predominates other interesting specialites are introduced rounding out a program full of merit and one that should appeal to the most exacting listener.
Great care is exercised in choosing the club membership. Out of the many who trv out only twenty are selected and they truly represent the best voice in the university. After the personnel has been determined upon many months of careful preparation is necessary before they are ready to appear in public. This season the club is under the supervision and management of the College of Music of the University, which insures a standard of work in keeping with the College ideals.
