PLEASANT DINNER PARTY
Mr. and Mrs. W. J. M. Heinz were host and hostess on a recent evening at a pleasant dinner party at their home at 525 S. West-st. The affair had been planned as a courtesy for Mrs. J. W. Heinz, in honor of her birthday anniversary. The social event was kept a secret from the guest of honor until her arrival when she found other guests and the five o'clock dinner waiting for her.
The hostess served an excellent three-course dinner. Decorations for the table were the birthday cake and the patriotic symbols of the season, the date being so near Washington's birthday anniversary.
Following the dinner the company spent a pleasant evening with cards and in visiting:
The guests included Mr. and Mrs. J. W. Heinz, Mr. and Mrs. John Kirsch, Sr., Mrs. John Kirsch, Jr., and Mrs. B. J. Heinz. The hostsands of the latter ladies were out of the city.
ELKS' EVENING CLUB MEETS
The Elks' Ladies' Evening Club was entertained last evening at the home of Mrs. Ed Schneider, E. Addelest. The evening was pleasantly passed playing Five Hundred. The prize for high score was awarded to Mrs. Frank Mauer; second, to Mrs. Henry Haying, and third, to Mrs. W. J. Lake.
Mrs. Schneider chose a very pretty and attractive decorative scheme using Japanese effects. Japanese blues in vases and bowls were placed in different parts of the rooms. On the tally cards, the same pretty idea was carried out.

HOSTESS TO AL-FUN CLUB
Mrs. Edgar Hartung was the charming hostess Wednesday afternoon to the Al-Fun Club. The afternoon was passed in the usual way, with Five Hundred as the pleasant diversion.
Violet and fern were used for decorations in the living and dining room. Following the games, at which Mrs. Merton Skinner won the prize, the hostess served a dainty three course luncheon.
Those present were Mesdames John Seltinger, E. L. Olmstead, Merton Skinner, Harry L. Scarets, M.C. Goff, Leoonard Evans, William Locke, Fred Marsh, Joe Hessel, Chass Clark, Chast Randall.
MRS. GIBBS HOSTESS
Mrs. F. N. Gibbs was hostess yes; terday to a number of intimate friends of Mrs. S.W.Mitchell of Los Angeles and Mrs.Louise Hunger of Anaheim.
The guests were entertained at the Gibbs home, 210 So.Kroeger-st., and spent the day in sewing and visiting. Mrs.Hunger left this morning for a few weeks' visit in Nebraska and Iowa.
At noon the hostess, assisted by a number of ladies, served a dainty and tempting luncheon.

K.P.COOPERATIVE MEETING
In the I.O.O.F.hall at Orange on Wednesday evening, March 2nd, there will be a K.P.cooperative meeting at which all K.P.lodges in the county will take part. The rank of Esquire will be conferred on an

K. P. COOPERATIVE MEETING
In the I. O. O. F. hall at Orange on Wednesday evening, March 2nd, there will be a K. P. cooperative meeting at which all K. P. lodges in the county will take part. The rank of Esquire will be conferred on an Anaheim candidate.
The gathering will be in the nature of a boosters meeting, and it is desired that a large gathering of all knights in the county arrange to be present. There will be a number of delegates present who will speak, and a very pleasant evening is being looked forward to.
Following the meeting a big supper will be served.

The Tennesseeans are much taken with Cal., particularly the son, a recent graduate of the law department of the Univ. of Tenn., who may decide to locate, possibly to open a law office in Anaheim.
ENTERTAIN INFORMALLY
Mr. and Mrs. Flavel Smith, of the Colonial-apts, entertained very informally last evening, when a few friends dropped in to spend the evening. Music was enjoyed and later the young folks made candy.
Those who enjoyed the evening were Misses Luna Wellman, Carrie Lou Evans, Ruth Dove, Measrs. Frank Montgomery, Roland Dove.

PATRIOTIC ENTERTAINMENT
The Magnolia school will give a George Washington entertainment at the school house. Friday evening. An interesting program has been arranged, and all patrons of the school and friends are cordially invited to be present.
"White Youth," starring Edith Roberts, a story of a modern Louisiana girl just from school, a safecracker within the law, a wonderfully stocked wine cellar and a price-less cigarette holder presented to on old Creole by the Empress Eugente, will be the feature at the Grand tonight. It is an ultra-modern romance with a picturesque aging in the glass. Tomorrow night Sessue Hayakawa will be seen in "Li Ting Lang."
Mary Pickford will be seen again what took place when they got into the snow. "Great sport."

FULLERTON HI-Y CLUB MEETS
Tuesday night the members of Fullerton Hi-Y club held a meeting at the Christian church. A supper was served by members of the young married peoples class, of which Mrs. Burkett is teacher.
Following the supper Mr. Raitt, Y. M. C. A. secretary of Northern Orange-co, introduced Ralph G. Cole now state secretary of boys work, as the speaker of the evening. Mr. Cole woas the county Y. M. C. A. secretary of Orange county three years ago.
The report of the nominating committee was read and the following elected as officers of the club: President, Tom Warren; vice-president, Ted Corcoran; secretary, Gil McDermont, and treasurer, Wendell Irwin. "Shorty" Smith was elected athletic manager and member of the executive committee following the regular election.
