HACIENDA CLUB OPENS
The opening of the new Hacienda Country Club north of La Habra yesterday witnessed the initial social event in the history of the club, among members, prospective members, and others from Orange-co availed themselves of the opportunity.

City of visiting the grounds and seeing what has thus far been accomplished, and learning what is to be done in the near future.
The location of the new club is considered one of the most picturesque of any club in the vicinity. The golf course when completed will be second to none in California according to professionals who have viewed it from different locations.
For the convenience of those who brought their lunch, or wished to barbecue steaks, sheds with palm covered roofs had been constructed, and special ovens and grates were erected.
There was a large crowd, coming and going all day, and every one was very enthusiastic over the beauty of the grounds. All had the privilege of viewing the architect's sketch of the club house which was on display, and which when erected will make one of the handsomest in So. Calif.
Among those present from this part of the county were Mr. and Mrs. H. H. Benjamin, Mr. and Mrs. William Wallop, Dr. F. H. Houck, Ernest Borgert, Mr. and Mrs. B. H. Sidnam, Mr. and Mrs. C. C. Sidnam, of Anaheim; P. J. Weisel of Santa Fe Springs; Henry Warren, Buena Park; Supervisor and Mrs. William Schumacher of Buena Park.
DELIGHTFUL PARTY
Mr. and Mrs. W. J. Sebastian, and son, Stanley, and Mr. and Mrs. J. P. Sebastian, and daughter, Vivian, motored to Santa Ana last evening where they were guests at a delightful party given at the pretty new bungalow home of Mr. and Mrs. Noble E. Watson.
Violets and mistletoe were used for decorations, while little hatchets suspended on wire were fastened from the four corners of the rooms. As the guests entered they were presented with George Washington hats.
BIRTHDAY DINNER
Mr. and Mrs. George Broadway entertained with a very pleasant they gave a dinner party. Mr. Ralph Pittman occurred yesterday. It was affair and was very greedy by the honored guest and others.
Dinner was served and the table which was laid was decorated in red carnations and fern.
It was a miniature cherry hatchet, and the place potted red hatchets which served for Mr. and Mrs. L. Misses Alice Hoard, Ruth Whittier, Mildred Carr Harry Carter, Frank Crol Webb and the host.
EXCURSION TO MEET
All aboard for the excursion to Merryville to the young people's day evening at 7:45 people of the church ages of 17-30 and any invited to join. The train promptly at 7:45 and be purchased in the back office before that hour.

The evening passed playing rook and other card games, with the prize for high score going to Mrs. W. J. Sebastian and the men's to Mr. John Rosenmeyer. Mr. and Mrs. Deardorff received the consolation prize, a bottle of cattup.
At midnight lunchtime was served to the twenty-four guests present.
BIRTHDAY DINNER PARTY
Mr. and Mrs. George Hoard of E. Broadway entertained last evening with a very pleasant affair, when they gave a dinner party in honor of Mr. Ralph Pittman whose birthday occurred yesterday. It was a surprise affair and was very greatly enjoyed by the honored guest as well as by others.
Dinner was served at 7 o'clock, and the table which was beautifully laid was decorated in red roses, red carnations and fern. In the center was a miniature cherry tree and the hatchet, and the place cards were little red hatchets which marked covers for Mr. and Mrs. LoMont Webb Miss Alice Hoard, Ruth Pittman of Whittler, Mildred Carter, Messina Harry Carfer, Frank Cushman, Darrol Webb and the host and hostess.
EXCURSION TO MERRYVILLE
All aboard for the moonlight excursion to Merryville to be given by the young people's department of the Methodist White Temple on Friday evening at 7:45. All young people of the church between the ages of 17-30 and any others are invited to join. The train will leave promptly at 7:45 and tickets must be purchased in the basement ticket office before that hour.
There will be a number of attractions, one being the election of officers for the ensuing six months. There will be plenty of entertainment, not a dull moment, so let a large crowd be present and enjoy a delightful evening.
MASONS GO TO YORBA LINDA
Officers of Masonic lodge have been invited to put on the third degree at Yorba Linda Thursday evening. George Jackson, grand master, invites a large attendance of both officers and member from the Anaheim lodge to gather at the local temple at 5:45 A.M.

CELEBRATE BIRTHDAY
It was a happy dinner party that last evening celebrated the birthday anniversary of George Washington Hamler, on No. Clementine-st. Besides Mr. and Mrs. Hamler, those who enjoyed the elaborate dinner were Mr. and Mrs. Al Erickson and children, Mrs. Dave Hamler and daughter, of Anaheim, and Mr. Art Bruney, of San Diego.

MISSIONARY MEETING
The annual meeting of the children's Missionary society of the M. E. church will meet in the primary room, Thursday at 2 p.m. All children from 1 to 8 years are eligible for membership by bringing 35c dues. Mrs. Margaret Langdon and Mrs. Maara will entertain the mothers and their little ones. Mrs. Eygabroad and Mrs. Tedrick will be the hostesses.
