TEACHERS ENTERTAINED
The teachers of the grammar schools were entertained in a most delightful and informal manner last evening in the sewing room of the domestic science-bldg. of the Fremont school, with Prof. C. C. Smith and Miss Elenora Parker as host and hostess.
The nature of the affair was an old fashioned party, that carried one back to the days of long age, when sociability and good cheer reigned supreme. Each guest was asked to come dressed in a manner befitting such a party, and the request was received with hearty response.
The room where the party was held was converted into an old fashioned sitting room, with strips of bright red carpet, old fashioned rugs, and the tables covered with bright turkey red table cloths. Old fashioned candles were used for lighting, and many and quaint were the designs brought into use. Quantities of fern and red hearts were also used in the decorative scheme, reminding the guests that it was the season of St. Valentine's Day.
If prizes had been offered for the most ridiculous costumes, Miss Elizabeth Renshaw, Miss Ruth Munger, Miss Blanchard, and Miss Edith Hedstrum would certainly have captured them, for their costumes brought forth peals of laughter from the others. There were three colonial costumes, which were very pretty.
Different games were played, and a fish pond offered much amusement. each guest receiving a heart on which was written his or her fortune. A second try at their luck brought forth a pretty valentine.
Late in the evening, Mrs. C. C. Smith, assisted by others, served refreshments of old-fashioned ginger bread, spice cookies and coffee.
At a late hour the guests departed declaring the affair to have been one of the most enjoyable they had ever attended. Those present were: Misses Paula Palm, Alice Grimshaw.

The Wallis Tractor
Wallis--International Charge
Once again has the Wallis Tractor offered convincing proof that Wallis power means "more acres per hour." In a great international demonstration held recently by the ROYAL AGRICULTURAL SOCIETY OF ENGLAND, the Wallis performed with such thoroughness and power that it was awarded the FIRST PRIZE AND GOLD MEDal in the three-bottom plow class. The trials lasted seven days and covered every phase of field and belt operation.
The leading English engineering journals commented very favorably on the construction features of the Wallis—AMERICA'S FOREMOST TRACTOR. Its sturdy strength, light weight and remarkable pulling power were commended. The famous Wallis U-J.
