Friday, January 21, 1921 B. P. GIRL INHALES FLAMES OF INFERNO BUENA PARK, Jan. 21.—Special—Miss Irma Robison was very badly burned in the S. P. motor car accident at South Gate Park, when the motor car crashed into a truck load of gasoline. Miss Robison attends the U. of C. She had been ill with tonsillitis and missed the final examinations. She made the trip to school Wednesday to make arrangements for taking the examinations. Miss Robison was terribly burned on the face and hands, and her eyes are bandaged, but it is not known yet if her sight is injured. The physician in charge states that her burns were third degree. Mrs. D. D. Luzier, of Richfield, spent Wednesday with Mrs. P. H. Luzier. Mr. and Mrs. P. H. Luzier enjoyed the Mission play at San Gabriel on Wednesday evening. Rev. and Mrs. Wm. Ashmore are visiting their son, Dr. Frank Ashmore, of Buena Park. They have just returned from Swatow, in South China, where they have been engaged in mission work for over 40 years. They were here about three years ago visiting Mr. and Mrs. Clyde E. Bitter, and were very favorably impressed with the climate of southern California. They are expecting, as so many others have done, to derive great benefit from a stay here. Mr. R. A. Cunningham, of Santa Ann, was calling on old friends in town on Wednesday morning. Buena Park Congregational church for Sunday, Jan. 23, morning service at 11 a.m., subject: "The Method of Jesus in Moral Combat." The second in series on "The Inner Life of Jesus." Evening service at 7:30. Subject: "The Lure of Time." Mr. Arthur Thurman, of Redlands, made a flying trip to his home here on Sunday evening. Mr. Edward Thurman returned with him for a few days' stay. The officers of the Eastern Stay attended an all-day practice at Artesia chapter Wednesday. The Jolly Neighbors were very pleasantly entertained Tuesday afternoon at the home of Mrs. E. E. Thurman. The time was spent with needle work and conversation and at a late hour in the afternoon the hostess served a two course luncheon. The members present were Mesdames E. L. Cole, George Cole, Albert Moon, William Callaway, George McNeil and William Loughboro. Mrs. Loughboro has just recently returned from a three months' visit in New York. Connor were badly hurt when the machine in which they were riding toward San Diego skidded near Irvine and turned over. Mrs. Connor was plowed beneath the car and several of her ribs were broken. Connor suffered a broken jaw. The driver and owner of the car, B. E. Colvin, was unhurt, and accompanied his companions, helped by Irvine ranch folks to Santa Ana, where they were attended by a physician and afterward sent on to San Diego. Markets L. A.
