Tuesday, January 18, 1921 Society: Clubs : Lodges : Churches FEDERATED CLUB MEETS A meeting of the executive board of the Orange-co Federation of Women's clubs was held in Santa Ana Saturday at the home of Mrs. J. E. Gowen. Mrs. C. F. Crose, county president presided. There were nineteen members of the executive committee present, including six county and four district chairmen, and representatives of the fifteen federated clubs in Orange county. A motion was unanimously passed to hold the annual county convention at Fullerton, April 15. Mrs. Charles Hansen of Fullerton, district vice-president at large, read a communication from Mrs. A. W. Wholford of Escondido, district president of the Fdeferated Woman's clubs, issuing a call for a presiding council to be held at the Placentia Round Table clubhouse on Monday, January 24. Her guests will be the presidents of the county clubs, and the state and district chairmen residing in Orange county. The council will also be guests at noon luncheon at the clubhouse, given by the Household economics section of the Fullerton Ebell. ENTERTAIN WITH DINNER Mr. and Mrs. W. H. Kidd were host and hostess Monday evening at their home on Alberta and Claudinaats, when they entertained a number of guests at dinner. The guests of honor of the evening were Mr. and Mrs. Morse of Pine Island, Minn., who are visiting at the home of their daughter, Mrs. Minnie Squier, South Los Angeles-st. The table was graced with a centerpiece of flowers and an excellent menu was served, a not surprising fact when it is remembered that Mrs. Kidd is one of the world's best cooks. Mrs. Kidd was assisted in the serving by Mrs. Squier. Following the dinner, the evening was spent in a social manner, in visiting and with music. Mr. and Mrs. Morse are making a six-weeks' tour of California, Mr. Morse expresses it as his candid view that Anaheim is one of the prettiest towns he ever saw. CITAL TO BE HOLD ON MONDAY EVENING, Jan. 31, in Masonic Temple, when all her pupils will take part, and to which the public is cordially invited. REBEKAHS INSTALL FRIDAY Lois Rebekah lodge, of Anaheim, will hold installation of officers on Friday evening of this week in Odd-Fellows' hall. A most interesting session is being looked forward to and it is hoped that all members will be present. The president of the Rebekah Assembly, Miss Stella Merrick, of Long Beach, will be in attendance and the district deputy president, Mrs. Irene Mitchell, and her staff from Santa Ana will put on the work of installing the new officers. At the close of the meeting refreshments will be served and a social hour enjoyed. HOTEL VALENCIA GUESTS Guests at the Hotel Valencia yesterday included A. E. ROYAL NEIGHBORS MEET The regular meeting of the Royal Neighbors of America will be held in the I.O. O.F. hall Monday afternoon, Jan. 24. At this meeting the annual installation of officers will be held, the ceremonies in charge of installing officer from Los Angeles. All members urged to be present, and visiting members will be cordially welcomed. SOCIAL POSTPONED The business meeting and social of the Y. P. S. C. E. of the Anaheim Christian church, which was to have been held at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Dickenson this evening, has been postponed to a later date. COMMUNITY CLUB THURSDAY Los Angeles-st. ENJOYABLE DANCING PARTY An enjoyable affair of Saturday evening was the dancing party given in the hall at Stanton with the Misses Marjorie Rains, Myrtle Winters and Philura Sparkes as hostesses. The hall was prettily decorated in ferns and greenery. The young lolks enjoyed dancing, and for those who did not care to dance, games were provided. At a late hour a delicious luncheon was served, and then the dancing was continued until the "wee sma" hours. The guests included Misses Mattie Lou Robertson, Ruth and Alfce Panler, Anita Herzler, Ruth Mead, Calyne Sparks, Myrtle Winters, Marjorie Rains, Philura Sparkes, Mr. and Mrs. Sam Snodgrass, Mr. and Mrs. Guy Carlson, Messrs. Claude Smith, GeoRains, Walter Dagney of Los Angeles, Howard Pannier, Joe Warden, Bill Schumacher, Bill Kennedy, Robert Luchre, J. McLaughlin, Ted, Bob and Milton Cochran, Jack Clemens, T. K. Smith. PRESENTS PIANO PUPILS The intermediate piano pupils of Mrs. Ruth L. Seitz were presented by their teacher in recital at her residence studio, 620 Zeyn-st, Saturday afternoon. The affair was a most enjoyable one, each pupil presenting their number in a most creditable manner. Those taking part were Nellie Sackett, Johanna Lemke, Katherine Erker, Jessie Johnston, Marlon Utter, Fleta and Donald Elsenhauer, Nellie Harris, Lois Bevillard, Norma Brastad, Guy Duckworth, Ruth Dahl and William Seitz.
