FULLERTON PUPILS
VISIT SAN DIEGO
Twelve pupils of the Fullerton grammar schools left in autos this morning for San Diego and points of interest along the way. Stops were scheduled at the San Juan Capistrano mission, Oceanside, the Torrey pine grade, La Jolla, San Diego mission and Ramona's marriage place. Saturday morning will be spent in visiting points of interest in and about San Diego. The party will return Saturday afternoon.
This is the second educational trip arranged by Principal C. E. Marcy for the benefit of pupils who have made unusual records. The purpose is to encourage pupils in their classroom studies and supplement their "book knowledge" by actual experience in the field.
Several other shorter trips are planned for the year and it is intended that every pupil shall have an opportunity to earn one before the close of the term. The pupils on this trip are Viola Lyonna, Agnes Ginter, Nora Stuff, Beatrice Lang, Marquita Salveson, Leona Jackson, Margery, Alen, Alma King, Percy Davis, Kenneth Gardner, Raymond Thompson and Arthur Kroger. The teachers in charge of the trip are Mrs. Douglas, Miss Jones and C. E. Marcey.

BICYCLIST BADLY HURT BY AUTOIST
G. Sorto was taken to the Fullerton General hospital yesterday afternoon after having been run down on his bicycle by a Ford car near Buena Park and painfully injured. Dr. Lang who attended him stated he suffered lacerations and bruises of the head and face and a broken shoulder blade. He was taken to the hospital by the driver of the Ford after hurry calls had been sent both for the McAulay and Scale ambulances. The driver of the Ford was not known by Dr. Lang nor at the hospital today. Details of the accident also were unknown. Sorto was formerly in the shoe business in Fullerton.
URGES ORANGES BE PICKED IMMEDIATELY
Orange-co growers should get their oranges out of the orchard as soon as possible, is the advice of A. H. T. Osborne of the American Fruit Growers, Inc., of Fullerton, who stated this morning that while navels are grading up good at present there is a tendency to go to the bad by getting puffy and the longer they remain in the orchard the worse they will be. The American Fruit Growers are packing about a car of navels a day, Mr. Osborne stated. They are also packing a car each a day of celery, cauliflower and lettuce at the Irvine ranch, he added.
The Benchly Fruit Co. is packing from one to two cars of navels a day, H. E. Hollingworth, of that company, stated this morning. He added that the oranges being packed by this company were grading up good too he added that there are a large number of navels this year which are not so good.

FULLERTON OFFICES FOR EDISON DISTRICT
Fullerton has been named as the headquarters of a new district which is just now being formed by the So. Calif. Edison Co., distributors of light and power, and arrangements are now under way to transform the local office into district headquarters.
This means a district manager and a bicalef force which will do the work for this section, which has formerly been done at Santa Ana.
H. W. Shepherd, the present popular local manager, will remain, which is good news to Fullerton customers of the company.
The present office will be enlarged to the limits of the space available and larger quarters will be provided in the not distant future.
Official announcement of the plans will be forthcoming within a day or so, including the limits of the new district.
It is understood the new district will include the greater part of northern Orange-co, taking in Brea, which has heretofore been in the Whittier district.
This move on the part of this big corporation is an interesting commentary on the growth of Fullerton and this part of Orange-co.
