SHOWER FOR MISS BOYD
Mrs. E. Voss Herrington, of West Sycamore-at, was the charming hostess last evening to the members of the Chat 'N Sean club. Fancy work and social chat made the evening pass quickly. At ten o'clock the hostess served dainty refreshments.
A most cleverly arranged surprise, miscellaneous shower was given Miss Ruth Boyd, a bride-elect, by the members of the club. When the refreshment were served, and all were builily engaged, Miss Boyd was surprised to find concealed in the daunty delo, a small celluloid duck, and hidden in it was a note, telling her somewhere in the room was a string, which she was to follow, at the end of which she would find a "Treasure Island."
The journey began and led in and out of the different rooms into the hallway and finally in the living room behind the piano was a large basket filled with dainty packages which, when opened, were found to contain beautiful gifts of hand paint.
