YACHT CLUB PLANS EXTENSIVE PROGRAM FOR THIS SEASON With the date of the opening cruise to Laguna Beach set for June 1, a big program of speed boat and sailing races on July 4, cruise to Catalina set for August 16-18 and many other events, with something doing nearly every week, the Newport Harbor Yacht club is out with a 1919 season program that promises a practically continuous series of entertaining features for members and their guests. It will be a big year ror the club, and it will no doubt be only the first of many big years, for with dredging of the Newport municipal channel completed so that boats drawing to ten feet of water can enter the harbor, a considrable addition to the Newport fleet of yachts and other pleasure craft is looked for. The yachtsmen and yachtswomen are looking forward to a great time this year, as witness the following seasons program which has been prepared and O. K'd by the club officers: June 1—Opening cruise to Laguna Beach, guests of Robert B. Weitbreech June 8—Inside sail boat race, first of a series of seven for Ex-Commodore I. B. Potter's trophy. Young of Santa Ana has asked for letters upon the estate of his mother, Mrs. Louise W. Young. The petition is under a will which has not yet been filed. The estate is valued at $9000. J. A. Harvey is attorney for the petitioner. D. S. Hammack of Los Angeles petitions for letters upon the estate of C. E. eBebe, who died in 1916 in Winona, Minn. The estate is valued at $2500. It consists of ranch property here. Hammack petitions as the nominee of the widow. Having served his ten days for speeding, Lieutenant H. B. Gordon has been turned back to naval authorities at San Diego. The trip to San Diego by the sherriff was necessary by reason of the order of the secretary of the navy under which order the lieutenant was turned over to the civil authorities That order said that Gordon must be delivered in person at the place where he was secured from the naval station. Gordon was sentenced to ten days by Justice Cox on a charge of speeding 54 miles an hour. SIX MONTHS TO PAY FOR VICTORY BONDS Secretary of the Treasurer Carter Glass has announced that subscribers to the Victory Loan will be given six months in which to complete their payments. SIX MONTHS TO PAY FOR VICTORY BONDS Secretary of the Treasurer Carter Glass has announced that subscribers to the Victory Liberty Loan will be given six months in which to complete their payments. The dates for payments on the notes are: 10 per cent with application before May 10. 10 per cent before July 15. 20 per cent before August 12. 20 per cent September 9. 20 per cent before October 7. 20 per cent before November 11. Payment in full can be made on May 20, ten per cent having been paid with the application before May 10 or payment can be completed on any installment date with accrued interest. 100% AMERICAN JAPANESE Sessue Hayakawa, the noted Japanese motion picture artist, who has charge of the Victory Liberty Loan drive in Pershing Square, Los Angeles, the other evening, with thousands of people present, gave a patriotic address in appealing for active bond buying. He started by subscribing for $25,000 worth himself, and other members of his studio came through liberally, the total subscription for the night being $60,100. In his address Hayakawa said in substance: "I am a native of Japan. They say our blood is thick but I am 100 per cent American, and I want you to join with me in making a success of the loan drive. When I subscribed for the Fourth Loan I did not think that so soon I would be giving more money for a Victory Loan, and I am buying more bonds now than I did then. All patriot Americans should be glad of the opportunity to subscribe more liberally than for the other loans. America has won a great and good fight and the war is won." See J. Lloyd Moore, New York Life Insurance Agent, 104 E. Center-st. If you want to vote for the County Harbor Bonds you must register before May 10. Deputy registers for Anaheim are Bertha Meyers at Meyers Book Store and Hannah Horwitz at Judge Howard's office.
