ANOTHER GUSHER
The famous Baldwin Hills of the
Standard continued to abound in
gushers in spite of the prediction that
no more big producers would be
brought in in the Montebello field. No.
28, completed at a depth of 3318 feet.
came in doing 4000 barrels of oil and
close to two-million feet of gas. This
well is the greatest producer since
No. 22, completed about six months
ago, which continues to hold the record
for the greatest well in the state,
making better than 4400 daily.
Standard has made a remarkable development record on the Baldwin in
two years. Twenty-seven wells have
been drilled and a production of more
than 20,000 barrels a day developed
in that comparatively short time.
Walter Black pilots the development
work on the Baldwin.
NOTED SOLOIST AT SUNRISE SERVICE
Fullerton has been fortunate in securing the services of Mrs. Makinson as soloist for the Easter morning service. Mrs. Makinson who now lives in Los Angeles, has served as soloist in some of the largest churches in the east.
Following ten years' service in Pittsburgh in that line of work she was invited to come to Chicago where she served a number of years in one of the largest churches in that city, the church of Dr. Thomas. During the time she was serving as soloist, she was given leave of absence for a number of concert tours. The country as a whole knows her best as the soloist for the Theodore Thomas orchestra. Cadman, known as the world's greatest writer of Indian songs, selects Mrs. Makinson to do his interpective work whenever it is possible to secure her services.

URGE MEMORIAL VOTE
Petitions asking Orange high school trustees to call another election to vote $150,000 bonds for a memorial group of buildings are in circulation as a result of the determination of proponents of the Memorial plan to again present the project to the voters.
The petitions present the Memorial plan, which is substantially the same as the former one, with the exception that the swimming pool idea is eliminated.
