The Anaheim Boot and Shoe Hospital has just moved from the building adjoining the Oyster children of Whittier spent Sunday at the Charles Selover home.
Miss Esther Buckmort of Whittier spent Sunday visiting her parents at Yorba Linda.
Frank Walton, brother of Miss Walton, who has been in overseas service for the last year, arrived in Los Angeles this morning.
Mr. Ernest Simons and friend Los Angeles were dinner guests Sunday at the M.E. Simmons homy.
Mr. and Mrs. M.A. Bridge children took advantage of the beautiful weather to enjoy a camping trip over Sunday.
Mrs. Delia Miller of Santa Monica came to Yorba Linda Saturday, spend the week with her daughter Mrs. Ben Selover.
STANLEY PLEASED WITH BUSINESS
Harry W. Stanley of the Bulck Repair Shop is exceedingly well pleased with the large business he is receiving daily on North Lemon st., high and day. Mr. Stanley is at it here a constant endeavor to get his phone all completed as soon as possible. Mr. Stanley says that with the other building improvements in the same block where he is located that Lemon and Center-st, will be about the busiest place in town.
Mr. Ralph Cox arrived in Anaheim yesterday and began his duties with Mr. Stanley at the Bulck station this morning.
Mr. Gates, the owner of the building moved the tools and necessary equipment to Mr. Stanley's place Saturday and work will begin at once on the 50x80 foot addition to the station. The dirt for the fill-in will be secured from the excavation of Villa LaMont's apartment house, which will be erected in the same block with Stanley's addition.

COURTHOUSE NOTES
Tony Larson, a cook, pleaded guilty to disturbing the peace of F. D. Atkinson, a waiter, and was given a suspended sentence of 30 days. Atkinson said Larson threatened to use a meat cleaver on him.
Ernest Borchert has sworn to a complaint charging Robert Dorman with the theft of a bicycle. Borchert found the bicycle in possession of S. W. Harris, and Harris said that he bought the bicycle from Dorman.
Judgment of $2867.07 on promissory notes has been given to Elizabeth Walters against S. E. Starr.
Mabel M. Anderson has applied for letters of guardianship upon the estate of Frances Strain, a minor, that the latter may receive her share of the estate of her father.
The Church of the Mesiah of Santa Ana has petitioned the Superior court for permission to deed a lot at the corner of Broadway and Washington, Santa Ana, worth $2000, to D. D. Parsons, and receive from him a deed to a house and lot worth $4600 and to give a mortgage upon the property purchased by the church. Rev. W. L. H. Benton is the petitioner.
Judgment has been given in favor of George Snearly against M. B. Heistand in an action involving title to half a lot in the Golden State tract east of Anaheim. The findings show that Heistand failed to make necessary payments under a contract.
Appraisements reported to the superior court are as follows: Estate of Frances E. Finch, $1100; estate of Elizabeth I. Finch, $18,403; both estates appraised by State Appraiser J. N. Anderson, P. A. Robinson and J. E. Liebig. Estate of G. W. Mize, $4,150; and estate of William P. Baker, $1600; appraised by Anderson.
AT MASONIC MEETING
Santa Ana Masonic organizations will be represented at state gatherings in San Francisco next week by C. D. Brown of Tustin, commander of the Knights Templar, and A. S. Bradford of Placentia, representing the comamndery, and W. L. Duggan, Elmer Bowers and Arthur Pease, representing the council and chapter. Mr. and Mrs. Duggan, Bowers and Pease left Saturday by automobile for San Francisco. Brown and Bradford who left Sunday evening, will stop at Vilsalia for a brief visit with S. O. Walker, formerly of Buena Park.

FIRED BY INCUBATOR
The home of Mrs. E. W. Vaughn at 324 North Harwood, Orange, was badly damaged by a fire which originated in an incubator in the kitchen. The furniture was practically a total loss and the house, which is a California style structure, is believed to be beyond repair, the interior being badly charred.
ASKIN APPEARS IN L.A. CONCERT SUN.
Mr. Thomas Askin, so well known in musical circles here, appeared in concert yesterday afternoon in Trinity Auditorium, Los Angeles, with Bruce Gordon Kingsley, organist, Miss Clara Louise Newcomb, accompanist, and Martha Higgins, violinist.
The program included "The Princess of the Morning Night" by Harriet Ware; "The Three Men of Merri" by Hammond; "The Drummer Boy" by Germain; "The Song of the Sword" by Clough-Leighter and "The Blind Ploughman" by Clarke.
DEATH CLAIM IS PAID
W. B. Linney of Orange and F. H. Thompson, agents for the Occidental Life Insurance Co., have received a check for $5000 for Mrs. Mary E. Dougherty, whose husband lost his life when his auto was hit by a F. E. car at Garden Grove a few days ago.

from her brother, Arley Adams of the
348 Machine Gun Battalion, who is
in active service with the A. E. F.
in France, in which he expressed his
appreciation of the services rendered
by the Salvation Army and the Red Cross.
His letter in part follows:
"Sept. 22d I went down to see Wilbur Harper. We both knew that we were going into action at any time. On the evening of the 25th we left our forest about 8 p.m., arriving at the front line at 11. About then, all the cannons seemed to open fire at once. They put over a barrage until 5 a.m., flinging on the German dugouts, that they had held for four years. The 5:30 and we went what few Gran-like jack French soldier could not be walked right days and night, machine gas. A few hours and the next"
