Tree Tea, Green or Black NOTED MISSIONARY WILL BE SPEAKER AT OLINDA CHURCH OLINDA, April 11.—Special—Mr. Mae Chisholm Brown, one of the most noted missionary speakers in the Methodist Episcopal conference, will lecture at the Olinda M. E. church Sunday evening, April 13th. She is a returned missionary from China. It will be both interesting and instructive. Your time will be well spent to hear her. Mr. and Mrs. W. H. Clark visited her sister, Mrs. Bog Farris of Puente on Tuesday. Mrs. J. R. Scott of the Orange lease is spending the week with her sister, Mrs. Bundy at Escondido. About 15 high school pupils of the Jaffa Jaffa club of Olinda went on a picnic Thursday to Palmer Canyon beyond Claremont. A lovely time was reported. The Petroleum Development company unloaded a car of oil well supplies here for the lease where the new Chapman well came in. W. B. Dynes of the Columbia lease was a dinner guest at the home of his cousin, J. W. Newell of Placentia on Thursday. ELKS ..... The Anaheim Lodge of Elks held a very interesting meeting in the lodge rooms on Wednesday evening when the new officers were installed and several candidates initiated. Past District Deputy Grand Exalted Ruler H. W. Brown of Santa Monica was present and presided, being assisted in this office by Past Grand Exalted Rulers from other lodges. Special dishes will also be served by the new French chef. ARIZONA SEEKS AID BY NEWLANDS ACT Arizona is being thoroughly organized by Mr. George H. Maxwell, executive officer of the national reclamation association, and others to take advantage of the Newlands River regulation plan for the control of floods and conservation of water in Arizona. Mr. Maxwell and other men prominent in irrigation matters in Arizona are making a campaign under the slogan of "Everybody altogether with Arizona." Mr. Maxwell was the first man to take the field in the campaign for the building of the great Roosevelt Dam by the U.S. government and having succeeded in that he is now determined that Arizona shall also take advantage of the Newlands River Regulation amendment to secure federal aid for the control of floods and conservation of flood water. The Tri-counties Reforestation Committee are working along the same lines in Southern California to secure federal aid through the Newlands River Regulation Act. GILSINGER NOW HAS TWO MEAT MARKETS J.
