BY ROCK BARRAGE
A rock barrage or something of that kind was laid all around a house at Tustin in a concerted attack made upon it by boys. Once in awhile the barrage was lifted and took in the upper story windows. The lower windows were broken in by shrapnel while shot and shell crashed through and against the plastered walls. The damage totals $250.
At the time the attack by the rock brigade was launched there was no one living in the place. The boys took the place by storm.
The house looked like a home somewhere in devastated Belgium when G. W. Finch, druggist of Fullerton arrived to look after some matters in connection with the place which belongs to Mrs. Harrison, Mrs. Finch's mother.
According to estimates by Finch and Under Sheriff Iman, no less than $250 in damage was done.
The smashing of the place is not the whole story. The broken windows held forth to some passing thief an invitation to investigate, with the result that the thief entered the place and carried away two valuable rugs.
The officers have found one boy who was engaged in the bombardment of the house, and he has given the name of a number of other boys who had part in the engagement. The parents of the boys will undoubtedly be called upon to pay the repair bill.

MEXICO
War being over, far seeing investors are looking to Mexico. They predict a great boom there. The writer just returned with some farmers who bought and are returning to cultivate their land. We have a number of American farmers who are located there at present, and are only too glad to explain the richness of this great valley with the many possibilities for the small investor that can not be obtained elsewhere, only 90 miles from the border, on the main line of the Southern Pacific Railroad, cheap land, cheap labor and low taxes. Good land in Mexico is bound to raise in price soon. Now is the time to buy. Call and let us explain our plan of colonization to American farmers.
