The railway commission was sure asleep at the switch when it allowed this great, rich money-making organization to make exorbitant charges for a long-suffering people to pay. If the Edison company was making hundreds of thousands of dollars a year, why was it given permission to overcharge its patrons? The big, greedy corporations of California sure have easy pickings—and the people pay the freight.
