K. P. HOLDS OPEN MEETING TONIGHT
The Anaheim lodge K. P. will hold an open meeting and ladies' night in the Odd Fellows hall this Tuesday evening, April 2nd. Walter Guerrin of Pomona, Grand Vice-Chancellor will preside.
Mr. and Mrs. Rasmus who have been doing cantonment work for the past year under the auspices of the National War Work Council of the Y. M. C. A. will give a novel and interesting entertainment entitled "A Night With the Boys in the Camps" which consists of songs popular with the boys, scenes from classic and popular plays and a playlet entitled "The Stranger", written by Mrs. Rsmus and dedicated to the boys. This playlet has met with great favor wherever given.
Mr. Charles Bownman Hutchins, noted whistler will also appear on the program. A large delegation is expected from the lodges at Pomona, Norwalk and other Orange-co lodges. All K. P. members, their ladies and friends are invited.
Y.P.O.E. MEETING
The Y. P. S. C. E. of the Presbyterian church was entertained at the home of Mrs. T. S. Grimshaw on Monday evening. This was the regular monthly business meeting. Mrs. Ella McQuillan tendered her resignation as chairman of the social committee and treasurer which was accepted with much regret. To all these vacancies, Miss Edna Mills was elected treasurer and Miss Anita Herzler, chairman of the social committee. At the close of the business session the hostess assisted by her daughter Miss Alice Grimshaw, served wafers and chocolate. Those present were Mr. and Mrs. Edgar Clark, Mrs. W. T. Mrs. O. A. Mullinix motored to Los Angeles yesterday.

Mrs. H. A. Hawley and Miss Hazel Hawley spent today in Los Angeles visiting with relatives.
Mr. and Mrs. Robert Rimpau, Mrs. A. Rimpau and Mrs. E. L. Olmstead visited in Los Angeles Monday.
Newell Burton will leave Thursday over the S. P. for Omaha.
Mr. and Mrs. Bowen left Monday over the S. P. for Ft. Collins, Colo.
Mr. and Mrs. Geo Dunton are spending a few days in Los Angeles.
Mrs. M. C. Goff, Mrs Sam Newnee, and Mrs. C. L. Swope visited Mrs Leslie Swope in Hollywood Tuesday.
Oscar Schneider was on the first boat to launch at Hamburg, Germany following the lifting of the blockade.
Mr. and Mrs. P. Frahm and G. Manake motored to Los Angeles on Tuesday.
R. E. Coffman Monday shipped his household goods to Quail, Cal., where he will reside.
W. H. Yekel leaves Thursday over the S. P. for Spokane where he is in the lumber business.
A telegram announces the arrival of J. B. Collings in New York and states that he expects to be at Camp Kearny in ten days.
Mr. and Mrs. Elmer Imus and baby motored to this city yesterday from Atolla and are at the home of Mr. Imus' parents, Mr. and Mrs. L. N. Imus.
Mr. and Mrs. S. F. Willard and Mr. and Mrs. F. L. Marsh motored Sunday to Griffith Park where they enjoyed a picnic dinner, later motoring over the mountain road to Hollywood.

EXONERATE R. R. MEN
"Accidental death" was the finding at the inquest held over the remains of the late E. O. Dougherty, 35 years of age, of Garden Grove, Los Angeles Times agent at that place, who succumbed on Saturday at the Anaheim Sanitarium to injuries received the day before. His automobile was struck by a Pacific Electric car as he was trying to beat it to a crossing near his home. He leaves a widow and three children. The jury completely exonerated the train crew, according to Corpner Brown.
BUYS TWO RANCHES
Nick Hugo, who recently sold his 10-acre Valencia ranch between Placentia and Richfield for $35,000 has purchased a 20-acre ranch one-fourth mile north of Richfield and a walnut ranch at Whittier. He has purchased a Fordson tractor to use on both the ranches. He has leased the oil rights to his new Richfield ranch.
FINISH WAR WORK
Monday the two exemption boards of Orange county passed out of existence. The sealed and crated records of these two boards were started on their way to Washington, D.C.
Each board handled the great bulk of work that came to it efficiently and to the entire satisfaction of the state and federal authorities.
Ever since the armistice was signed one or two clerks have been kept busy by each board compiling a vast number of statistics wanted for governmental reports.
