ANAHEIM IS MOST ATTRACTIVE TRADING CENTER, SOUTH
Why is it parking places for blocks in the business district of Anaheim are jammed with automobiles during shopping hours, particularly on Saturday evenings?
Answer: It's because Anaheim is the best trading point in Southern California, bar none.
Not only does Anaheim have the most convenient shopping district in Orange-co—if you don't believe that statement, start out on a little shopping tour to various Orange-co-cities, and see if you aren't convinced for all time that Anaheim shops are more compactly and conveniently located than at any other point in the county—but most important of all, Anaheim merchants are live, progressive and up-to-date, offering inducements for shopping here that can be found in no other city, big or little in the southland.
Prices Attractive
Because of the volume of business handled, Anaheim merchants are able to turn over goods on the smallest margin of any similar group of business institutions in this end of the state, and this statement includes the big Los Angeles stores which lear-under the handicap of enormous overhead from high rents, high clerk hire, expensive advertising and other varied and numerous expenses which the Los Angeles shopper has to pay when he buys an article in Los Angeles.
of W., J. Yarrow held at Colinga last Wednesday. It is reported that Yarrow is charged with infidelity to the fundamental principles of unionism, though no one seems to be able to verify the charge nor know exactly why the trial is being held.
Friends of Dr. and Mrs. J. P. McNaughton will be interested to know that they have received their passports and expect to sail for Turkey about the middle of the coming month, where they will do missionary work among gthe Armenians. The people of Brea had the privilege about a month ago of listening to an earnest appeal from Mrs. McNaughton in behalf of the unfortunate people in whom they are interested.
ADVERTISING PAYS NUT ASSOCIATION
The California Walnut Association has become a hearty supporter of advertising. That eastern markets have become daily better as the dealers read and appreciate the advertisements of the Diamond Brand walnut.
These advertisements, read by millions all over the United States, have done moore to boost walnut groves and walnut industry than could possibly have been done in any other way. Walnut orchards being more in demand since these advertisements have appeared than ever before in the history of the walnut business.
These advertisements have appeared in such publications as the Saturday Evening Post and the Ladies' Hoem Journal.

Shopper from Anaheim
A notable example has come to attention this week. Following some articles along this line a few days ago, there was cited of one instance of a woman at Redondo who does all the trading she can conveniently do so at Anaheim stores.
"I have shopped in Redondo, Los Angeles, Long Beach and other cities in this end of the state, and I want to say that Anaheim stores offer the most attractive inducements for trading, at lower prices, etc., of any city I have visited," stated the Redondo woman. "I do all the trading I possibly can in Anaheim, as I find I am more than paid for making the trip here."
"Of course, Redondo woman's experience is only typical of many others at outlying points.
Brea and Oil Fields
P. H. Messner and wife, who have been visiting relatives here for a short time, left for Klamath Falls, Oregon, Wednesday where they will spend some time with friends before returning to their home in Tillamook, Oregon.
Messrs. E. H. Peterkin and W. V. rates were delegates from the local oil workers union to attend the trial
