FINISH BIG JOB A. Bayliss' spraying outfit landed back in Anaheim Monday after finishing a big spraying contract for a fruit canning factory at Lankershim. Bayliss covered 1000 acres in 29 days, spraying peaches, apricots, apples, pears and nuts. OLD-TIME PROGRAM AT KATELLA FRIDAY Everyone has heard of the jolly, informal times people have at old fashioned programs in country schools. Friday eevning, Mar. 21 at 7:30, "Mrs. Jarley's Wax Works" will be given under the able direction of Mrs. Watson at the Katella school. Howlett of Los Angeles has paid a fine of $25 at Santa Ana, after pleading guilty to a charge of selling short-weight bacon. Howlett assumed responsibility for the presence of a quantity of bacon in stores in this county. This bacon, put up in pound boxes, was the subject of an investigation by George McPhee, county sealer of weights and measures.
