BLDG. COMMITTEE ENLARGES PLANS FOR M. E. CHURCH Encouraged by the interest shown in the recent successful campaign for financing the erection of a modern Methodist church edifice, the building committee, in conference with the architect, Norman Marsh, of Los Angeles, Monday evening decided upon some expansion to the original plans, one result of which will be to increase the main church auditorium to a total seating capacity of 1200. The auditorium proper will seat 400. By the opening of sliding doors to adjoining rooms, 600 more seats will be available. The church parlor will afford seats for 250, Sunday school chapel 300, gallery 150 and Sunday school class rooms 100. Seat 800 Banqueters It was also decided to enlarge the social and banquet hall to seat 200 at one time, while, by opening sliding doors into another room, space Cleaning and Pressing Why take a chance with your nice clothes? OLMSTEAD SECURES FREE SCHOOL HERE Manager Ewd. L. Olmstead of the Avery Company of Orange County announced today that he had been able to secure for Anaheim one of the famous Avery Free Service schools. The school will be held Apr. 11 and 12. The location has not been decided upon. Mr. Olmstead is looking for a large room that will be suitable for laboratory and lecture purposes. L. R. Van Velkenberg, chief service engineer of the Avery factory, will be in Southern California only three days. Mr. Olmstead has secured his promise for two of the three days. He carries about half a carload of equipment—parts, etc. with him. He has also a number of films illustrating tractor manufacture and use in the field. These will be shown at a local theatre. 500 Schools in United States The Avery Company is putting on 500 of these Free Tractor Service schools throughout the United States. Obviously, Chief Engineer Van Velkenberg cannot attend them all. Mr. Olmstead considers himself extremely fortunate in securing him for the two days. The schools are absolutely free to everyone, whether owners of Averys or some other make of tractors. In fact, attendants need not be owners at present, even prospective owners. In the east, these schools have been attended by bankers and other business and professional men as well as ranchers, and have been the means of creating great enthusiasm.
