SOCIAL CLUB GIVES VALENTINE PARTY
BUENA PARK, Feb. 17.—Special
—A very pleasant affair of Friday evening was a Valentine party given by the Buena Park Social Club at the home of Miss Wanita Simpson.
The rooms were most beautifully and artistically decorated with hundreds of tiny gred and white paper hearts. The living room being decorated in red, white and blue streamers and similar garden of hearts, entwining in smilax and large bouquets of marigolds and narcissus added to the beauty. In the center of the room was a parasol hung from the chandelier and many tiny red hearts falling from it.
The evening was enjoyed with music and games appropriate to the occasion. A large jardiniere covered with smillax and red bows held hearts of fortune for each guest, which made much merriment. At a late hour delicious refreshments of cake and brick ice cream with pink hearts in was served by the club. Those enjoying the pleasant affair were the Misses Ethel and Hazel Thrasher, Ruby Roth, Alice Ingram, Mamie Bradley, Mamie Sharp, Rose McCarthy, Ruth Loughboro, Irma Robinson, Beatrice Bushnell, Emma Robinson, Wanita Simpson, Messrs Webb and John Andrews, Boyle, Tripp, Burg, Gifford, Nelson, Griggs, Duncan, Coughran, and Mrs. Schofield.

WER FOOD
Ruddy cheeks and robust health—swinging stride and ready smile—what IS the secret of being really alive?
We'll tell you: half of it is in the food you eat. It takes energy to make energy. That's why Germea is power food. For, it contains the "germ" of the wheat—five times as much energy as there is in the whole of the wheat. Small wonder, then, that a single cupful of Germea will make a breakfast for a family of six.
Wholesome and delicious! And always economical—in the energy and strength and stamina it yields.
