ASK SUPERVISORS TO SET DATE FOR HARBOR BOND VOTE Tomorrow afternoon, when the Orange County Harbor Commission will meet with the board of supervisors and ask that a date be set when the supervisors will call a county election to vote on the issuance of bonds for the improvement and development of a county harbor at Newport. The list of harbor boosters has been rapidly increasing during the past few years, and many feel that now is the time to start the development on a large scale, and there is no doubt but that the proposed county bond issue would be largely supported. The proposed issue would probably be for $500,000, and would be used to cut the Santa Ana river directly into the ocean so no more silt could be deposited in the bay; for further jetty work; and for dredging. After Newport Beach has finished the initial harbor work and the county has done its share, proponents of the harbor feel confident the federal government then would step in and lend its financial aid to further progress. The harbor commission, consisting of J. W. Duckworth of Anaheim, K. E. Watson of Orange and Lew H. Wallace of Newport Beach, will hold a meeting tomorrow morning at 10 o'clock, and at 1:0 in the afternoon will open their conference with the SCHRYER ENJOYS IT Louis Waltman received a letter Saturday from Bill Schryer, a well known young Anaheim man. Bill is on the U. S. Coast Torpedo Boat, now at Lockwood Base, East Boston, Mass. He says it will be quite a while yet before he will be home. He is making good in the service and is second class quartermaster and soon will be made first class. He wants to stick to his work for a while let. HOLD NEITHER OF TWO WILLS VALID Saturday Judge West rendered a decision in the superior court hold-at the time she died three years ago. by Mrs. Belle W. Brace was in effect at the time she died htree years ago. By this decision the entire estate will go to relatives of Mrs. Brace in New York, and none of it will go to J. Clyde Williams of Anaheim. The estate is valued at $11,000, consisting largely of an orange grove and large residence at the first turn of the state highway south of Fullerton. Mrs. Brace died of injuries received when she stepped from an automobile that was in motion. She was the widow of W. F. Brace, one of the best known poultry judges in America. When Mr. and Mrs. Brace lived at Canadiagua, N. Y., a will was made under which a number of minor bequests were made, the remainder of the estate to go to J. C. Williams, a friend and partner of Brace. Moved to Anaheim Some time after this will was SLIGHT DAMAGE HERE Damage to the navel crop in Orange county by the recent cold snap was very small and the situation here is very different from that in other sections, in the opinion of two experts who were in the county Saturday and went through the packing houses in company with Horticultural Commissioner Earl Morris. M. A. Hilts, U. S. Food and Drug Inspector R. W. Rex, chief of the Western Food and Drug Inspection District, were the men who were here. They visited many of the packing houses where navels are being handled. They were well pleased with the conditions here and the manner in which the fruit is being handled. They would not commit themselves in a statement as to their estimate of the damage sustained, but positive evidence that they felt sure that the damage here was very small was given when they told Morris that they did not believe it would be necessary for them to return to this county for a later investigation. The damage to the navel crop in Riverside county is estimated at about 25 percent, according to a telegram form Riverside reading as follows: That at least 75 percent of the navel orange crop in this district will be marketable is estimated by experts here. It is believed that 50 percent of the fruit as it stands on the trees now is undamaged by frost, and that the Chase water separator will produce an additional 25 percent. In this machine light or frosted oranges float and the undamaged fruit sinks. REPAIR BULKHEAD Damage done to the bulkhead and cement walk on Seal Way at Seal Beach is being resumed as soon as she stepped from an automobile that was in motion. She was the widow of W. F. Brace, one of the best known poultry judges in America. When Mr. and Mrs. Brace lived at Canadagua, N. Y., a will was made under which a number of minor bequests were made, the remainder of the estate to go to J. C. Williams, a friend and partner of Brace. Moved to Anaheim Some time after this will was made Mr. and Mrs. Brace moved to Anaheim. On Jan. 29, 1914, each made a will witnessed by Williams and Mr. Carson, leaving $500 to a church at Victor, N. Y., the remainder to go to the other, or, in case the other was dead, to Williams. After her husband died, Williams alleges that Mrs. Brace cut her own signature from her will and her husband's from his. Those documents with names cut out are among the papers filed in the contest. Soon after Mrs. Brace died, letters were issued to Public Administrator Winbigler under the first will. It was declared at that time that the last will had been revoked by Mrs. Brace by the fact that she cut her name off of it. At that time the first will was held to be valid. A few months ago, eastern relatives of the Braces employed Attorney S. M. Davis to endeavor to secure a distribution of the estate free from the conditions of either will. The relative leading the fight was Ralph Walling of Rochester, N. Y., a cousin of Mrs. Brace. Says Second Invalid In securing the letters for Winbigler under the first will, Williams, one of the witnesses for the second will, testified that the witnesses and Mrs. Brace did not sign their names all in the presence of each other, which is required to make a will valid. He thus contended that the second will was invalid. The testimony of Carson, the other witness to the will, was given in a deposition, and puon that testimony Judge West evidently concluded that the second will was executed in accordance to law, and was a valid will up to the time that Mrs. Brace intentionally invalidated it by removing her name from it. Judge West finds that this second will set aside the New York will, and when Mrs. Brace cut her name from the Fullerton will she did not re-establish the New York will. YORB —The Yorba opened Mrs.George returned pital on its sel and home It is believed that 50 percent of the fruit as it stands on the trees now is undamaged by frost, and that the Chase water separator will produce an additional 25 percent. In this machine light or frosted oranges float and the undamaged fruit sinks. REPAIR BULKHEAD Damage done to the bulkhead and cement walk on Seal Way at Seal Beach is being repaired as rapidly as possible. The cement wall has been replaced and the contractors are now filling in with sand behind the wall, getting ready to make the new walk. The work when completed will be more substantial than when first put in. WED IN SANTA ANA A marriage of much interest to their friends here was that of Fred Deakins, son of Mrs. M. B.
