E. Yungbluth, founder of the association and member of its board of directors since 1921. Jr. Ebell Board Meets The Junior Ebell Club of Anaheim executive board met Mar. 31 at the home of Mrs. Charles Marrs where plans for the April 7 general meeting were formulated. Mrs. James Whieldon, first vice president, announced the program will be presented by Carmen of Carmen's Flower Shop, 1215 W. Lincoln, Anaheim. Tea chairman, Mrs. Jack Richelieu, will be assisted by Mesdames Richard Relston, Bruce Rogers, Phillip Roseberry, Jack Sappington, Robert Loughridge, and Robert Ryan. The business meeting will include election of officers for 1964-65. All present chairmen will be honored. Highlight of the evening will disclose Woman of the Year and Citizen of the Year awards. Mrs. Edward Strickler, president, reported to the board that she attended the Children's Hospital special meeting of founder members to elect the first permanent board of trustees. As a result of contributions exceeding $1,000, the Junior club is a founder member and has a vote. The Junior executive board vision and of the Chair Community Improvement committee, an Honorary Life member of the Parent-Teacher Association, and a formerive Committee' member Anaheim Business and National Women's Club. She is also a past presider both the Anaheim Junior and St. Agnes' Guild of St.chael's Episcopal Church. Mrs. Ulvestad attended Anaheim schools and was associated from the University California at Los Angeles she was elected to Alpha Delta, Honorary Economic ternity. He started as a bookkeeper and was later promoted to assistant cashier, as- BUSINESS NEWS The Fullerton office of Glendale Federal Savings and Loan Association loaned $7,107,400 to persons purchasing, rebuilding or remodeling homes in this area during the first three months of 1964. Branch Manager Russell M. Litch announced. This was 173 per cent above the amount loaned here the first quarter of last year. Testimonial Dinner Date Announced The testimonial dinner honoring Assemblyman James F. "Fa" A resolution commending Santa Fe Railway's production and distribution of a 28-minute motion picture in sound and color entitled "California" extolling the historic, scenic and economic asset of California has been adopted by the California State Assembly. Assemblyman John P. Quimby of Rialto (72nd District) introduced the resolution. The resolution cites the film as capturing the uniqueness and glamour of the State, exploring the rich historical background, and depicting the many facets of life in California. The resolution: “Resolved by the Assembly of the State of California, That the Members of this Assembly commend the Santa Fe Railroad for its development of this outstanding film which so vividly captures the pulse of California and for its generosity in making the film available free to various organizations.” A handsomely inscribed and illuminated copy of the resolution suitable for framing, presented by Quimby, was accepted by Robert W. Walker, San Francisco, vice president-executive representative, in behalf of President Ernest S. March of Santa Fe. Testimonial Dinner Date Announced The testimonial dinner honoring Assemblyman James E. Whetmore has been changed to Tuesday, April 28th it was announced today by James Gilmore, spokesman for the dinner committee. The dinner previously set for April 14th, was reset when it was learned that Mr. Whetmore would be detained in Sacramento on legislative business. The GOP Assemblyman, who represents the 70th District, is seeking his party's nomination in the June 2nd primary election. Mr. Whetmore's friends and constituents are invited to attend.
