They see increased catches of yellowtail, barracuda, big bonito and bass and perhaps a showing of the fish that only travel in warmer water currents. Yellowtail schools have already been seen at San Clemente Island and commercial fishermen report landing several yellowtail in their nets off San Onofre, which is just down the coast from Newport Beach. So, if you, your company or club is planning on a deep sea charter fishing trip in the upcoming months now is the time to make those reservations. The charter book at Balboa Pavilion and Seasport Landing was opened this week. Sleek, Coast Guard inspected boats, many with radar, that can carry from six to 49 passengers are available. Telephone numbers for reservations are Balboa Pavilion, area code 714, 675-0550, and Seasport Landing, area code 714, 548-1141. A special note for junior anglers.
