PERSONAL MENTION RONALD YOUNG, Fullerton Junior College student from Anaheim had unexpected excitement enroute to study art at the University of Florence in Italy. Aboard the Italian passenger ship, Vulcania, enroute to Gibraltar, the British ship Ambassador became disabled in the storm-tossed Atlantic Ocean. The Vulcania was one of the first ships to come to the aid of the stricken vessel. DALE CASPER, assistant manager of Security First National Bank has been transferred to the bank's head office department-special. He lives at 640 Primrose and is a member of the Kiwanis Club and is active in the Southwest Anaheim Little League. Delegates chosen to represent Orange County in the "Food Comes First For Youthpower" conference, at the Asilomar conference grounds near Pacific Grove are REBECCA LONG, of Anaheim High School and SANDRA GRAVES, Brea - Olinda High School. The Orange County Farm Bureau committee included CAMILE ALLEC of Anaheim. Mozart's "Marriage of Figaro" will be presented by Stephens College Opera Workshop at Columbia, Mo., MISS KAREN LEE HYATT, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Albert M. Hyatt, 8221 Orange Acres Dr. will be one of the performing flower girls. PAUL B. CARPENTER, 2850 Virginia Ave., was appointed as a member of the Small Business Advisory Council for California by Alvin P. Meyers, regional director of the Small Business Administration for this area. He is active in the Hughes Toastmasters Club, Mr. Carpenter is the first resident of Orange County to be appointed to the Small Business Advisory Council for California. Three Anaheim High School graduates at California State Polytechnic College, Pomona are among 475 students named to the dean's list for academic excellence. To be eligible a student must be enrolled as a regular student carrying 12 units or more and achieve a 3.0 (B) or better grade point average.
