Temple Slates Children’s Purim Event On Sunday morning, Feb. 23, the entire congregation of Temple Beth Emet, including the Sunday School and Hebrew School boys and girls, will meet for a gala Purim Carnival celebration at the Temple Beth Emet of Orange County, 1770 West Cerritos Avenue, Anaheim. This event will take place from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. under the leadership of Mrs. Lawrence Miller of the Temple’s Sisterhood. Cantor Philip Moddel will conduct the Beth Emet Children’s Choir, and the Principal of the Religious Schools, Mr. Eli Kagan, together with Mrs. Marvin Garetz, Hebrew School Chairman. Mrs. Joseph Kessler, Sunday School Chairman, and Cantor Moddel, will be in charge of the dramatic King and Queen Coronation by children of the Religious School. Following the performance, the children will participate in the annual costume parade, holiday games, and carnival features. Food counters will offer special festival foods, especially “Hamentashen”.
