For sheer size and power, no other waterfall in the land can match the thundering might of giant Niagara. It's one of a kind.
California Federal is a unique giant, too. It's the billion-dollar savings association that offers you federal charter protection. Over $1 billion in assets means giant strength behind your savings. And accounts at a federally-chartered association are subject to the supervision and strict provisions of a permanent agency of the U.S. Government.
At California Federal, 38 years of astute management policies created this protection for you. Over

Len Mangle move over. We had three upsets last week. Anaheim lost to Newport Harbor 7-0 in the upset of the season, after we said Anaheim by 18. Servite lost to Mater Dei, 20-7 but then we said that which ever team we picked would lose in that one. But just to cap it all off Santa Ana beat Chafey, 20-8 and just to rub it in they did it by 12 which is what we said Chaffey would do to the Dons.
The net results of these sheenanigans gave us six wins and three losses to making our four week average drop to 74 per cent from last weeks 81.5 per cent accuracy.
Though discouraged we shall never give up. After having my crystal ball get an eye check-up it was decided that all it needed was to take off those rose colored glasses. So, here we go again:
ANAHEIM at Fullerton: This ought to be a hot one. Anaheim is tied for first with Santa Ana and Fullerton is in a four way tie for second. If Anaheim hopes to win this one they better have lost the over confidence that possessed them last Friday. Newport Harbor though can play a good ball game if they pull together, they proved that last week. Fullerton has one of its strongest teams this year so anything goes. However our ball still feels that ANAHEIM can do it by SIX.
LOARA vs Valencia (Placenta) Friday at 8 p.m. La Palma
La Palma Stadium, Saturday afternoon. Something new for schools. An afternoon the Stadium. While often have been played in noon, none has ever been played at La Palma. necessitates this. We knotted for second in tie while Costa Mesa bottom. Therefore its by 14.
SERVITE at Cathay Los Angeles, Saturday Due to lack of light thederal's field the have to be contented Cathedral in the sun played a hard game with Mater Dei but you have it. Hoever we do this week, enough SERVITE will win
Eastern Conference ORANGE COAST Saturday 8 p.m. The game of the week. We have two schools with tense a rivalry as the an upset could be inings. Since the Dons had a winning year has our ball must go OCC BY SI.
FULLERTON vs OLLERTON Field, 8 p.m. day. When it comes ton and victories we confidence in the Holocaust seems such a shame he has to lose their home game but thats the way Fullerton would be

However our ball still feels that ANAHEIM can do it by SIX.
LOARA vs Valencia (Placentia) Friday at 8 p.m., La Palma Stadium. This is the game that could go either way and probably will. After attending a recent Loara game we were impressed with the hustle and team spirit that prevailed. Loara has the makings of a fine ball club and we think that tomorrow night's game will further prove our point. Sorry Loara can't win by a bigger margin but LOARA winning BY TWO is nothing to scoff at. Buena Park High School Field, MAGNOLIA at Sunny Hills, Friday, 8 p.m. Magnolia, repeating last year's nightmare in Crestview standings with of being knotted for first place crosstown rival Savanna, is going to have to work hard to win this game. Thus far workouts have only been fair according to coaches. In asking our crystal ball who the victor will be we unanimously endorsed MAGNOLIA by SIX.
Rebel Homecoming
SAVANNA vs Santiago in La Palma Stadium, Saturday, 8 p.m. Don't look for anything but a victory for Savanna. This is their homecoming game and they sure won't lose this one. Santiago is good but Savanna is better. In the end it will be SAVANNA by 12.

La Palma Stadium, 1:30 p.m., Saturday afternoon. This is something new for Anaheim schools. An afternoon game in the Stadium. While other games have been played in the afternoon, none has ever before been played at La Palma. Scheduling necessitates this. Western is knotted for second in a four way tie while Costa Mesa is near the bottom. Therefore its WESTERN by 14.
SERVITE at Cathedral in Los Angeles, Saturday, 3 p.m. Due to lack of lights on Cathedral's field the Friars will have to be contented to beat Cathedral in the sun. Servite played a hard game last week with Mater Dei but just didn't have it. Hoover we feel they do this week, enough so that SERVITE will win by SI.
Eastern Conference
ORANGE COAST vs SANTA ANA, Orange Coast Stadium, Saturday 8 p.m. This is the game of the week. When you have two schools with as intense a rivalry as these two, an upset could be in the makings. Since the Dons have not had a winning year and OC has our ball must go along with OCC BY SI.
FULLERTON vs Citrus at Fullerton Field, 8 p.m. Saturday. When it comes to Fullerton and victories we plead no confidence in the Hornets. It seems such a shame Fullerton has to lose their homecoming game but thats the wav it looks. Fullerton would be better off
Pacing Classic Saturday
The big name horses of both the pacing and trotting worlds will be seen in action at Hollywood Park on Saturday, Nov. 2.
The $50,000 American Pacing Classic at a mile and one-eighth will climax some terrific speed battles this season between such as Henry T. Adios, Cold Front, Rusty Range, Irvin Paul, Sephan Smith, Midnite Hardy and others in preludes to this annual fixture, won a year ago by Irvin Paul in time that equalled Adios Buffer's world record.
Four-year old trotters, headed by Sprite Rodney and Worth Seein, will compete in the $20,.000 guaranteed Fall Maturity Trot, a stepping stone to the $50,000 American Trotting Classic on Saturday, Nov. 16, the closing day of the autumn meeting.
Duke Rodney won the Fall Maturity last fall, and went on to take the Classic.
Worth Seein and Sprite Rodney posted marks of 1:58 and 1:58 3-5 against the fence as three-year-olds last season and

Garrett, fresh from winning the 100 lap Southern California Championship race two weeks ago at Ascot, will be driving a Ford in the night's main event. He will be after his fifth triumph of the year on the action packed criss-cross circuit.
Meisengahl will gun a Buick V8 powered Chevie coupe as he tries for his second win of the year at Ascot. He has jumped to sixteenth place in points and might pick up some more positions in this Sunday evening racing cards.
Ten Others
Ten other former main event winners will be out to stop the pair in the nights' 15 lap main event.
Besides the 15 lap main event, and 8-lap "Powder Puff Derby" other racing includes a 10 lap semi-main, five 8-lap heat races, and a 4-lap trophy dash.
Lady Leadfoots
Heading the girls racers for the "Powder Puff Derby" will be Joan Brohmme of Gardena and Myrna Queener of Torrance. Both past winners of the race for lady leadfoots. Other girls entered include Rene Smith, Gardena; Mary Farrell, Torrance; Mikkie Rose, Gardena; Irean Noble, Long Beach; Rosolita Coe, Compton; and Bar-
an upset could be in the makings. Since the Dons have not had a winning year and OC has our ball must go along with OCC BY SI.
FULLERTON vs Citrus at Fullerton Field. 8 p.m. Saturday. When it comes to Fullerton and victories we plead no confidence in the Hornets. It seems such a shame Fullerton has to lose their homecoming game but thats the way it looks. Fullerton would be better off playing Tituanana Tech. So Saying. CITRUS by SEVEN.
And that sports fans winds it up for this week. Good luck.
