Saxons Fall to Carpinteria 25-0
Loara ran into a trap Friday night at Carpinteria when the Warriors, led by quarterback Jim Valasquez scored a decisive victory over the Saxons, 25-0.
Valasquez passed for 19 points in the game, throwing TD aerials to Dave Lundberg, 37 yards; Rick Olmstead, 10 yards; and Ken Duncan, 20 yards. Olmstead scored the lone conversion on a Valasquez pass in the third quarter. The remaining tally was recorded by halfback Lundberg who bulled over one yard for the final touchdown.
Strong Warrior Defense
The Saxons couldn't get rolling as the Warrior defensive unit stymied their drives. To complicate things, Loara fumbled four times, recovering but twice.
Carpinteria was last season's Tri-Valley League champion and made CIF semi-finals, while Loara occupied second position in the Inland loop.
Brea Next
Tomorrow night the Saxons make their debut in the Orange League as they meet the Brea Wildcats, perennial league champions and defending as they meet "A" champions. The contest will be played on the Wildcat gridiron with an 8 p.m. kickoff time.

It is with great sadness that a lack of common sense type) that I will each cast the results of my games among the high Anaheim and college teammates. Any mistakes in this we may make will not fault but the teams us up. So without away we go.
LOARA at BREA: A there should not be any to the outcome of this has been a top team in for the past several years is a two year old school seniors and is fresh off pasting at the hands of High. BREA by 28. This valently putting it.
MAGNOLIA vs. BUENA (La Palma Park, Santa Magnolia rates as a our book even though drowned by Newport Week 20-7. Besides Map to first round CIF after Crestview League play We still haven't lost fair MAGNOLIA by seven.
Hard To Predate
WESTERN at SAN ANTONIO This one is hard to tell that wins will be really wants it. Western with an upset over favored Beach Millikan winning week but we will have to with Santa Ana, Santa Ana HEIM vs. WESTERN (La Palma Satadium Night) This will be a real Both teams look good heim came in first in Competition and went semi finals year and haven't away we go.

Dr. Edwin Rubin, deputy director of community services for the State Department of Mental Hygiene in Sacramento, will speak on Mental Health.
Nobody missed you at the City Council Meeting that night—because there was no one there to miss you.
It just happened you weren't the only one who found it inconvenient to come. Everybody, that night, had the same thought: "Let George do it!" And none of the Georges showed up!
This imaginary situation is not at all far fetched. It happens, in part, at every town meeting—someone with a valuable opinion doesn't come.
The missing opinion may be that would have started action on civic improvements, or killed a person you would like to see dropped. Your active interest in local ment gives you the story behind the for improved fire-fighting equi schools, water and sewage facilities streets, and other community facilities.

It is with great courage and a lack of common sense (money type) that I will each week forecast the results of the weekend games among the high schools in Anaheim and colleges.
Any mistakes in the predictions we may make will not be our fault but the teams who fouled us up. So without further ado away we go.
LOARA at BREA: As we see it there should not be any doubt as to the outcome of this one. Brea has been a top team in its league for the past several years. Loara is a two year old school without seniors and is fresh from a 20-0 pasting at the hands of Carpenter High. BREA by 28. That's conservatively putting it.
MAGNOLIA vs. BUENA PARK:
(La Palma Park, Saturday Night)
Magnolia rates as a favorite in our book even though they were drowned by Newport Harbor last week 20-7. Besides Magnolia went to first round CIF after a rugged Crestview League play last year. We still haven't lost faith in them.
MAGNOLIA by seven.
Hard To Predict
WESTERN at SANTA ANA:
This one is hard to tell. The team that wins will be the one that really wants it. Western came up with an upset over favored Long Beach Millikan winning 13-9 last week but we will have to go along with Santa Ana. Santa Ana should place high in the Sunset League this Year. SANTA ANA by 6.
ANAHEIM vs. WESTMINSTER:
(La Palma Satadium, Friday Night) This will be a real game. Both teams look good but Anaheim came in first in Sunset Competition and went to CIF semi finals year and they still haven’t lost.
up with the same record it did last year in Eastern Conference action, it better win this one Saturday Night. Fullerton has lost its first two games, the last by a score of 20-14, in favor of Chaffey and the week before at Mt. SAC, 14-0. Fullerton is decidedly improved since Mt. SAC and we forecast FULLERTON by 14.
Should Stay Home
ORANGE COAST vs. SAN BERNADINO:
(Pirate Stadium; Saturday Night) San Bernadino would do better to stay home. Orange Coast has got one of the best teams its ever had and Orange Coast should swab the field with San Berdoo. ORANGE COAST by 35.
SANTA ANA at GROSSMONT:
This won't even be a game. Santa Ana is powerful and has been tabbed by many to retain its hold on the EC Championship. When comparing these teams one must remember that Santa Ana got over enthusiastic last year and when the game finally ended, the score board read 40 to 0. With this in mind we say SANTA ANA by 20.
