The Enterprise is one of more than 20 Navy ships which will ultimately be supplied with consoles of various types from Hughes A Co., Fullerton. Rebekahs Honor Grand Officers Members of Lois Rebekah Lodge No. 268, Independent Order of Odd Fellows, met in the Odd Fellows Temple, with Adline Provino, Vice Grand, presiding because of the illness of the Noble Grand, Alice Robert. Honors were extended to Henry A. Mang, Past Grand Patriarch of the Grand Encampment of California, and Ora B. Horn, Officer of the Guard, of the Department Association ladies Auxiliary Patton Beach have chartered a bus to go to Pomona. The bus will stop in Anaheim about 8:30 a.m. for pick up of the Anaheim Girls and Rebekahs. The Theta Rho Girls of Orange County will participate in a parade that day on the Fair Grounds. Card Party Ora Horn extended an invitation, which was accepted to the lodge members to hold a public card party to be held in her home. George Hannaford, Grand Master of the Grand Lodge of California, will be present to deliver a message. The Dorema Theou Theta Rho Girls of Huntington Beach have chartered a bus to go to Pomona. Following the lodge meeting the social hour was enjoyed in the dining room with refreshments served by Mildred Snokelburg and her committee. Symphony Association Holding Open House Symphony Association of Orange County is holding open house for area committee chairmen today and Friday, from 10 to 3 p.m. at the new headquarters in the north unit, Town and Country, 777 S. Main St., Orange. Serving as committee of arrangements is Mrs. Hazel Loudon of Anaheim; Symphony Association incorporator and board member; Miss Marcelina Arroues of Fullerton; board member and chairman, ways and means committee; and Mrs. Norman Salaets of Anaheim; board member and chairman, school concerts committee. Fullerton, Garden Grove, Laguna Beach and Placentia area chairmen are honored at today's open house and Anaheim-Buena Park, Orange - Tustin, Santa Ana and Westminster on Friday. Nearly all the principal druggists in the city of Los Angeles were arrested yesterday on the charge of selling opium without a license. They will be arraigned to plead before City Justice Morgan today. The arrest was brought about, we understand, by some sharp Mongolians, who, a short time ago, were mulcted in the prescribed fine for the same offense, and now hope to get even by informin against the white dealers, whose legitimate business it is to dispense all kinds of drugs. Last year Mr. G. P. Cuddleback of Orange, who has a ten-acre vineyard in that settlement, manufactured into raisins and sold his crop, realizing a profit of a little over $1300. This he sold the grapes upon the vines for $1000, reserving 1000 pounds of grapes for himself. The purchaser does this own picking. Mr. Cuddleback will probably realize fully as much as he did last year; and that without any trouble. One hundred dollars clear profit is not so bad. Dr. James Ellis in addition to the practice of his profession, has engaged in the sale of real estate and home-pathic medicines. Business must be slow, we think. Bridge, Orange Coast Adds Courses Two new courses have been added to Orange Coast College's evening curriculum to help meet the problems of increasing wealth in Orange County. The courses are entitled "Estate Planning" and "Property Management." Evening College Dean Thomas A. Blakely said the "Estate Planning" class aims to provide knowledge of how individuals may conserve their assets. Purposes of the course are to inform owners of real property, insurance, stocks, bonds or other assets in ways of successful plan­ning for retirement, education, charity and protection of the individual family. Towner of Santa Ana, Democratic nominee for Judge of the Superior Court was in town on Saturday in the interest of his candidacy for office. Judge Town- er was the first uperior Judge of Orange County having been elected on the non-partisan ticket after the formation of the county in 1889. Steward, awaits word from Washington as to proper procedure to follow in getting the 84 persons and organizations of this city "to see the light" and sign the consumers pledge or the president's agreement. This is the number who had refused to sign and were reported in tabulations handed in by 200 workers at the clean-up meeting Monday afternoon in the city hall. Altogether, 2759 consumer's cards were signed in the campaign conducted here with 75 persons reported absent. Most signers represented entire families.
