HARRY SHERMAN, Vendor Publish: The Anaheim Gazette August 29, 1963 A674-63 LEGAL NOTICES RESOLUTION NO. 2113 RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ORANGE DESIGNATING ANAHEIM NO. 220 AND PREVIEW PEEK — Orange County exhibit of the Metropolitan Water District of Southern California is given by pretty State Fair model Judy Fishback. The display for the California State Fair and Exposition, opening a 13-day run Aug. 28, includes a relief map showing the Colorado River aqueduct and California aqueducts, and dioramas depicting the use of the water by 8,500,000 Southern Californians. Anaheim Memories 55 Years Ago A large covered wagon (part of a threshing outfit) was encountered in the neighborhood of Pomona the other day bearing the legend "Anaheim Street Car." We infer that it is the same vehicle which formed part of the Fourth of July procession two years ago. It is decidedly off the track. shall run the Times office. 15 Years Ago The twenty-acre Harding place two miles west of town has been sold to an outside party for $6000. Grant of Pasadena for LEGAL NOTICES RESOLUTION NO. 2113 RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ORANGE DESIGNATING ANNEXATION NO. 220 AND PRECURING THE NOTICE TO BE GIVEN. WHEREAS the City Council of the City of Orange did on the 13th day of August, 1963 receive a written petition asking that certain territory described therein be annexed to the City of Orange and WHEREAS before the filing of said petition, the proposal for annexation of the territory hereinafter described to the City of Orange was submitted to and reported upon by the Boundary Commission of the County of Orange. State of California, with respect to the definitions and certainty of the proposed boundary area; and WHEREAS, the territory proposed to be annexed to the City of Orange is situated in the County of Orange. State of California and contiguous to the City of Orange shall be uninhabited territory, and said petition contained a description of said territory and WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Orange finds evidence and reports receive that at the time of the filing and receipt of said petition, it was not less than one-fourth (4%) the area and not less than one-fourth (4%) of the assessed valuation of the land in such territory proposed to be annexed according to the last preceding County Assessment Roll; and WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Orange finds evidence and reports receive and from said petition that at the time of the filing and presentation of said petition the said new territory proposed to be annexed to the City of Orange did not form a part of any municipal corporation and that such territory was uninhabited and contiguous to the City of Orange. NOW. THEREFORE BE RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Orange: That such proposed annexation designated as Annexation No. 220 and that notice of such proposed annexation be and same is hereby given; and BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the 24th of September, I at the hour of five o'clock in the City Library Building, N. Center Street, City of Orange, be, and the same is hereby filed as the time and place when where any person owning a property with n.s said territory proposed to be annexed, having objections to the proposed annexation based on the City Council of the City Orange and show cause why a territory should not be annexed that all persons having any sections to such proposed annexation are hereby notified to near on said date and placed at place to show cause if they have, why such territory should not be annexed; and BE I. Two hundred workers Thursday started counting noses in Anaheim. These workers according to reports filtering into headquarters just before press time Thursday, were meeting enthusiastic co-operation throughout the city.
