Fitzwater has attained assistant vice president rank at Bank of America's Anaheim Main Office where he heads the Timeplan Loan department. His election to the post was announced by Jesse W. Tapp, chairman of the statewide bank's board of directors. Fitzwater has spent most of his 14-year career with the bank at Anaheim Main Office. He was assigned there in 1952 as a note teller and moved up to officer rank five years later. Beginning his career as a clerk at Barstow in 1948, he left two years later to serve with the Army during the Korean conflict. FOND FAREWELL TO OLD POLICE STATION — On their last day Saturday at Anaheim's old police station in City Hall, officers were elbowing each other as usual, with the usual apology. In a few hours they will have found room to breathe in spacious new headquarters at Har- nounced by Jesse W. Tapp, chairman of the statewide bank's board of directors. Fitzwater is a memer of the Anaheim Optimist Club. He and his wife Elaine have three children; Ricky, 7; Anna, 9; and Cora, 12. NAMED V. P. Marshall E. Dunn of Long Beach has been re-elected vice president of the Orange County Chapter National Association of Accountants for the 1963-64 chapter year. He is a Certified Public Accountant, practicing at 219 S. Los Angeles St., Anaheim. Seek to Head Off Property Legislation The deadline is 5 p.m. Friday for signatures to a petition calling for a public vote on the so-called Discrimination in Housing Bill passed at the last session of the Legislature. Weinmann of San Francisco said this forced housing legislation has nothing to do with integration or segregation that it deprives people of their property rights and that it provides that a politically-appointed state commission can dictate to whom one may rent or sell property. Rate Change City crews on Tuesday of this week tied the two systems together, bringing 7000 Dyke customers into the municipal water system. Purchase of the portion of Dyke's facilities was approved recently by the State Public Utilities Commission. Former Dyke customers will pay the Dyke rate of $3 monthly for water, after which residents outside the city boundary will pay $6.50 and those within Anaheim will pay the usual city rate of $4.50. Guest Lecturers The course will be a survey of the major management functions in fields of manufacturing, marketing or service, and the construction industry. Guest lecturers, who are consultants and specialists will lead the discussions. Registration Deadline Near at High Schools Registration of new students in four of the five high schools of the Anaheim Union High School District and six of the 10 junior highs is still going on, concluding at three schools today and Friday. Schools holding registration of new students every day until school commences Tuesday Sept. 10 includes Anaheim and Magnolia High Schools, and Crescent, Sycamore, Walker, Fremont and Oak Junior Highs. Registrations for new students at Loara High and Western High's are by appointment only and concludes tomorrow. Loara will have grades 10 and 11 year. Pyles Boy' Camp after beings selected by the Orange County Sheriff's Department Sheriff James A. Musick announced today. The camp, named for it's founder R. M. "Bob" Pyles, veteran California oilman, was founded in 1949 and sponsored by the men and women of the Oil Industry of the State of California. It is located 55 miles East of Porterville in the Sequoia National Park. The main campsite is in Lloyd Meadows, 6 miles from the nearest road and access is gained on horseback or afoot. Further into the back country overnight camps are situated. Pack mules are used for the transportation of all supplies. A 20 man Board of Directors from five oil-producing counties in Southern California recognize a Selection Committee comprised of law enforcement officers which selects carefully — screened boys. All expenses are defrayed by the sponsors, including transportation meals, housing medical care, special guidance, athletic equipment and in some cases, even clothing. No youngster pays any money for his camping trip, nor does his family if it is a guest of the camp. Senator Wayne Morris, (Ore.) William Knowland, Walter Heller and Eddie Rickenbacker, speakers chosen because of reputations as business or governmental leaders, will undertake the task of presenting an informed analysis of the basic idea behind the views of business and the present Administration. Wide Range The Executive Profile series will set forth a wide range of positions on the major areas of disagreement between business and government. The present lectures, which will be the seventh group in the Executive Profile Series, will be held monthly, at Royce Hall on the UCLA campus Sept. 19, Oct. 17, Nov. 14 and Dec. 12. A duplicate series with the same speakers will be held in Orange County at the Anaheim High School, Sept. 18, Oct. 16, Nov. 13 and Dec. 11. Morse First First speaker for this year's series will be Morse. Each of the four speakers will engage in a searching critique of the strengths and weaknesses of business and government in the free enterprise economy.
