People who think so are Judith Bosch of Belmont fashion coordinator for The Way, Anaheim, and Terri of Costa Mesa, assistant and executive trainee for Legienne Shops in Bullock's Ana women's sportswear. Bosch, formerly Judith now 21, enrolled in OCC at 18. With general education classes, her course included salesmanship, retail advertising, business math, merchandising operation, merchandising display, ownership management and marketing. She participated in the work experience program in which students spend from eight to 15 hours per week on jobs related to classroom and lab work. On graduation she was hired as a full time sales person at the Anaheim store. She later was promoted to fashion coordinator. Her next step up to department manager for a dress department, junior coats and suits, junior dresses and the maternity shop. Mrs. Bosch says OCC courses which aided her most in moving up were merchandising display, and company policies and procedures. Terri Jacobs, 20, worked behind a department store counter while attending OCC. Then a Bullock's interviewer appeared at the school. Terri was picked as a "Campus Representative" for the store's annual back-to-school sale. Her job was to advise prospectiveTerri was subsequently promoted to assistant buyer for the Legienne Shops, and earned weeks of training in the store executive trainee program. The details of duplicate voices, checking and markup learned at OCC, Terri says, made upward route much less difficult. Perhaps the most valuable item in her education, she also were sales conducted by OCC, dents themselves.
