Final UCLA Art Series
Students from UCLA's Theatre Arts department will highlight a lecture given by Henry Goodman, Professor of Theatre Arts, May 16 in the Valencia Park School Auditorium, with a special performance of the one-act play, "The Tenor."
Part of the University Extension Liberal Arts Lecture program, "Masks for Commentary—Tragedy and Comedy," the lecture and performance will conclude the series. Goodman will comment for the first part of the program on "Ambiguity in Con-temporary Comedy". The play, which will be the second part of the program will be in the form of a staged rehearsal with no scenery, costumes, or lights. This will enable Goodman to take the audience behind the scenes, so that they may see the process involved in performing a play.

Work Period For ‘Y’ Camp
Over a hundred Anaheim area youth and adults are expected to join in the first spring Anaheim work week-end at Y Camp Osceola located at 7,000 feet altitude in the Barton Flats area of the San Bernardino Mountains May 18-19, according to A. L. “Bud” Mahoney, YMCA Camp Committee chairman.
In order to help ready the popular camp for a capacity summer attendance of boys and girls the workers will paint cabins, build shelves, prepare the camp swimming pool for use, winterize a cabin, and other camp repair and improvement projects.
Volunteers will take part in an evening camp program. Howard Liggett, popular camp manager will assist. Sign-ups are taken at the YMCA, 121 So. Citron Street, according to Mahoney.

Records dating back to 1956 reveal that Orange Coast has held the championship for five years. The other two years they were third. "The women will be trying to bring the championship home again" Shirley Brooke, WAA swimming coach, declared.
The 100-yard medley relay team at Coast consisting of Ruth Cummings (Costa Mesa), Janice Ryan (Garden Grove), Claudia Kelly (Costa Mesa), and Pam Zander (Corona del Mar) has not been defeated.
