12—The Anaheim Gazette Wednesday, May 16, 1963 ANAHEIM, CALIFORNIA Allied Opens Local Office In an expansion move, Allied Builders, a division of Construction Design, Inc., has announced the leasing of offices at $20 So. Epicid Avenue in Anaheim. This will be the location of the Orange County headquarters of the Los Angeles-based company, according to Harold Hammerman, president of the remodeling firm. Complete home remodeling services will be offered to home owners in Orange County starting May 20, he said. Mike Davidson or that area, an experienced sales manager in the remodeling field, has been appointed to direct operations in the region for Allied Builders, which has been engaged in all phases of residential and commercial remodeling for half a century, considered the largest firm of its kind in the West. Hammerman is widely known as a leader in the effort to bring about industry regulation in the vast business which is rated high in the employment of many trades. Allied Builders itself has been honored for winning many awards, including a 1955 first prize from the National Association of Real Estate Boards for a remodeled house and a 1967 "Better Homes and Gardens" magazine first prize for a remodeled kitchen. Camp Ahwahnee is located in the San Bernardino mountains. More than 150 members of the Order of the Arrow will participate in the event under the direction of Stan Smith, lay advisor. Their casts did not consist of any more males, so they couldn't have won the best supporting actor mention. The award for the best supporting actor was given to Jim Estrada, who won the same award last year, for his part as a rag picker in Anaheim High School's production of "The Madwoman of Chaillot" written by Jean Giraudoux. The judges were Miss Sandra Giles, television and motion picture actress; Mrs. Barbara Van Holt, director at Corona del Mar High School, and George Archambeault, director and head of the drama department at Fullerton Junior College. Eugene Mitch, director from Western said it "was unbelievable that so many awards were given to his players." He felt the cast responded to the audience. "The Lesson" by Eugene Lonesco was Western's selection.
